Well actually I liked the episode in general.

Particularly am happy that the kiss issue got resolved in a matter of seconds once Meetwa openly asked her about it. Thankfully she replied directly too. And if I consider the fact that it had happened in 19th feb episode and it got resolved in 23rd feb episode, I have to say that I did not find it rushed. I dont think this kissue deserved more episodes, that too when it happened willingly between them.

Now Meetwa. After the episode, I have realised he is fully aware of where he stands in his feelings towards Meety. He is very much attracted to her and her nature at many many levels. He in fact is also attracted by her dhakkadpan. Havent we seen way he says Shahbad ki don with so much admiration. And recently when they discussed Kunal and her not being a gundi. I think he has been aware of his feelings ever since the HM. Physical intimacy I felt he was ready ever since the curtains were taken down but only if she was ready too. Yes there is a vast difference in his own feelings since then. Yes, we would have been happier if we had got to see more of it but I think the makers thought they did enough with the Pati No. 1 track and the few monologues they gave him there.

Coming to Meety, I would say she too actually was aware of her feelings since the Lohri episode when he gave her the revadi gift. But she has been fed with the term "love" a few times. Later she was sent riding high on a wave partly because of her own insecurity, and mostly due to Anubha and Sunaina again feeding her the notion of love. So now I again feel her realisation was rushed bcz as shown in 23rd feb episode she still feels awkward. Kiss tho ho gaya but then is she ready really for the next steps if she is in love? No, dont think so.

So, Meety went into fanciful dreams with the idea of love ( and its understandable bcz its her first feelings ). Meetwa has already been here. He too has had his fair share of dreams and dancing with mops etc. He knows better now. He knows more about the feeling of love I would say and so knows that they have not reached there yet.

Meety behaved quite different from her own self. She behaved rash when she took the car at full speed after the V-day celebrations and again rash when she put herself in danger sitting on top of the bus. And again when confronting him, she was literally running after him with that bat in the dhoby ghat. She was not able to see things calmly. She went back to thinking that he does not consider her his wife.

Theirs is a funny relationship. Theirs is neither an arranged marriage nor a love marriage. Before getting married suddenly, they knew each other and had liked each other as goofy friends and nothing more. So after marriage, it was easier to get to that stage but the next steps are getting difficult even though there is attraction. And Meetwa is the one more mature to realise this. We think Meetwa is slow but actually sabse aage hai. What he was never sure of was what Meety thinks beyond the pati-patni relationship. When she started questioning that too, I think it was natural to voice out what he did. That he considers her his wife and also likes her a lot. In fact he has been the one always attempting to bridge that gap between friendship and romantic relationship in little ways like dates and Vday celebration. Now that he knows where Meety stands, he is taking steps to take it forward. He was pretty happy I must say. He tries with another kiss but unsuccessful. She is still not ready. So next he proposes gf-bf phase which is a good idea. I have to give it to Meetwa here.

So I come back to 21st and 22nd feb episodes. So, considering that they have moved so much ahead in their relationship, I felt the level of angst or restlessness was not well portrayed. Their first fight over their first MU over their first kiss. They did better in the divorce track and in the imaginary bf track. They didnt need to show crying or anything. But then they watered it down a bit with the machhar marna and the Meetwa walking backwards to the washroom. I mean as is it was cute but didnt portray the restlessness enough the way they said dil baitha jaa rha thha.

I find the makers treating love as a journey here and not really a moment of realisation. Their love will just grow and grow and grow and one day they will just feel like telling each other the three golden words. In other shows we see something major happening and bang comes the moment of realisation. Its not treated that way here and I guess I liked that.

Attraction I agree.

Even if you see the Christmas dance episode. It was Meetwa who initiated and wanted to have an eye-contact, but it was Meety who was feeling more awkward. He gave her some time, and again tried to dance with her on Vday and she was more comfortable. So, he knows she needs more time for physical intimacy than she does. What the writer didn't do was give them more eye locks and cliché itv tropes that show attraction. Abhi jaisa they do give intense moments and eyelocks, but beech mein drama dikhana ney k chakkar mein they forgot. Or maybe it's the editor's fault. In the BTS of basant festival aarti, they both were looking at each other lovingly but that part was chopped off before telecast.

Meetwa's dreamy idea of first love is gone after the mishap he faced. He realized Kisi ke khoobsurati mein khokey khyali pulao banana is not love. Moreover, maybe he is afraid to give love a second chance, as he is very much happy in the relationship he shares with Meety . It is his home and his comfort zone.

Jo bhi ho. We need more of his monologues in play to fully understand the situation. But I like your take

Haan yaar.... more of his feelings shown would have done wonders. My take is how I see the story as it stands.

I agree that the "love" word has lost its initial charm for Meetwa but I have not yet got the feeling that he is afraid to fall in love again. I think he is enjoying every bit of the journey with Meet and he is ready to let love in wholeheartedly whenever he feels they are ready. But will have to see how makers take it forward.

Editing ka main kya hi boloon. Its a given that in most episodes they have at least 1 thing off... even in this one, he says when she ran away after the kiss he thought she was angry... but dikhaya thha usko muskrate hue... sabko bahut satisfied look laga thha 😆
