So so good. This is what any reasonable couple will do. Loved all the dialogues of Virat. Virat in story is what I want to see in show, unfortunately we don't know what Vankar has planned for us.

This family doesn't deserve Sai or Virat.Also liked that jaaate jaate he told Pakhi's parents, actually he did her a favor and not really bhanda fod. The family esp Kaku and Sonali only encourage her obsession for Virat instead of helping her get away from him. If thye really loved her as they claimed, they would have done it for her.

Can they get transferred to Mumbai in show so that they have show chavans in parallel to SAIRAT moving on with their lives.

yes she is always fierce and honest. Honest people when they trust someone and get hurt by them, it will break their heart. It will be something close to betrayal. This is from my experience that this kind of hurt makes you go silent and for years pop out of no where and pull you into grief. That’s what i captured in sai.

But yes she will not withstand the taunts from them anymore and show the mirror when needed. I wil try to see if I can write the thrid part when the whole gang visit their house for exclusive bezatti session from her.

This came as a request from dear friend Nethraa. I was not thinking in these lines because Sai going silent on CN wasis is the worst punishment to them, especially for the ones who left her when she needed them the most: Samrat, Mohit and Shivani. Ashwini and Ninad would have realized her anger/disappointemnt right away because they did accept her as their own at some point, but could not rise up to the situation. So I have shown them gracefully accepting their mistake and let Sai decide when to forgive them. But others should know that their love for her is not genuine.

For me, Sai is not someone who badmouths or shows aggression without reason. She is much more matured girl who has the sense of truth and doesn't fear to put the truth as bluntly as possible. So I tried to show her like that. Hope it is inline with Sai's character. Please feel free to point me if there is any disconnect. As I said, I did not plan this chapter, so I might not have done enough justice to her actions.

I also wanted to show how Sai now has her own space, with help around her which she absolutely needs when training for medical career. I captured the ambiance of an Civil service officer's place and the comfort that it provides(I have seen it first hand from my relatives so you can be assured of some reality)

Part 3: Sai's Wrath.

Premise: Sai and Virat were living separately in Police Quarters for a month now. The Chavan family has sent Pakhi to her parent's place...or rather Pakhi's parents took her away. With 2 DILs of the house gone and one Son gone, while another son's marriage is in doldrums, BK decided to bring Sai and Virat back to CN at any cost. But her ego would not let her plead them to come. So she made a plan to visit them when Virat has gone outstation on a duty, in the pretext of inviting them for Holi, but with the actual purpose of emotionally manipulating Sai into budging to her wishes. One thing she is now sure of Sai is that she can go to any extent for Virat's happiness. So..they all started except for Ashwini, and Ninad who has taken upon themselves the punishment of not talking to Sai, till she overcomes the hurt given by them and forgives them by talking to them again. They cannot buy her trust and love by force, they realized.

Sai and Virat's quarters. 8AM

Samrat and Mohit drove the entire family except for Ashwini, Ninand, Mansi Bua and Pakhi to Sai and Virat's quarters in the Police Colony of Nagpur. They were quite surprised to see a big house surrounded by equally spacious garden and a uniformed gardener rearing the beautiful plants.

"Good!! But not as good as our CN mansion.", exclaimed BK. "Your Mama also got the quarters when in service, but because of the number of people we have in the family, even the bungalow they had allotted fell short. So I suggested him to let go of it and the workers that came along with it. Living together needed sacrifice." she said making a point.

Samrat parked the car to the side of the house, and they all went and stood near the doorway in a triangular formation with BK in the middle. Samrat did not join them, he was still ashamed of how he behaved with Sai, and was not sure whether his presence would hurt Sai even more. But on the other hand, he wanted to apologize and present his version to her. So he decided to go...when the doorbell was answered by a woman who was wearing a brown sari that looked like female uniform.

"Ji, Who are you?" asked the lady in Marathi.

"Who are YOU? And what are you doing here?",commanded BK forgetting where she is.

The house help looked visibly pissed off so raised her voice a bit and said.

"Sir or my madam did not inform that anyone will be visiting them today. If you have an issue, go to the police station. Sir is anyway out of station and he doesn't take complaints here", she stated closing the door on their face.

BK got super annoyed and pushed back the door, when Omi came forward and used his strength to keep the doors open.

"Where is the jungli mulgi?", she said pushing the help away and stepping forcefully inside while Samrat tried to stop her. "Jaise owner, waise naukar", she ridiculed, but not without saying."I am the one who raised your Sir, and tolerated your Madam for the longest time. I am Bhavani Nagesh Chavan, Kaku of your Sir.", she roared making herself comfortable on the lavish sofa in the living room and starting to evaluate the surroundings. "Go and call your MADAM", she ordered.

Bewildered and threatened by hearing the surname, the house help rushed to the corner bedroom and finding it unlocked, entered it and knocked on the bathroom door. "Madam, koi Bhavani Nagesh Chavan ji came, Sir's Kaku?", she informed doubtfully. And there are also 4-5 serious looking people and one Goonda with her.", she added more details. Hearing that Sai opened the door, who just finished taking the bath and towel wrapped around her body came out with urgency.

"What? Close the door Tai", she asked the house help. And once the door was closed she asked the house help to ask them for any water and refreshments and arrange for some breakfast with Ramprasad Kaka, the cook. And that she will be coming out in 10 min.

Lakshmi tai took the orders and rushed outside and conveyed the same message, now extra politely.

"So where is your madam. what is she doing?" Kaku asked again, "I am sure she will want us to wait for her." BK said disapprovingly.

"Ho Vahini. Now that she has her own home, ghar makaan, she doesnt even care.", tagged along Sonali.

"I wish I had a separate house like this! Dado sutto", said Karishma, looking at impeccably arranged furniture that was shining without any dust. Afterall, dusting was something she hated in CN.

Lakshmi tai was looking from one woman to the other in utter bewilderment, and noticed two young men who were with sulking faces looking down and the Goonda who was flaring up whenever BK spoke. There was another lady, beautiful and stylish who is in her own world, muttering to herself or berating herself for God knows what!. Lakshmi tai, in her own way was reading them in and out. She has never seen her Madam behave anything similar to the women here, so she wondered why they speaking so mean of her. Thinking about her madam reminded her of her orders, so she asked BK with rented smile.

"Ji, what do you like to have? I will ask Ramprasad Kaka to make some breakfast. Usually Sir and Madam would have same breakfast every day..bread and omlette. But if you want something else, I can ask him to make", she said with each word trembling off looking at BK's reddening face.

"Bhavani Nagesh Chavan still has enough people from her family who cook fresh Maratha breakfast every morning. So no thank you.", she said. however she was curious to see how the cook is so she took back her words and demanded. "Ask your cook to make Thalipeet. Let me see how you are feeding my boy.",

Lakshmi Tai went inside, when Sai came out, till the same Sai they knew outwardly. But, Inside she was also trembling how to deal with the situation. She didnt prepare herself to face them, like this, alone. So she braced herself for the worst and greeted them bending down and touching BK's feet to which she responded with a mere "Hmm".

"First break the house, and then seek blessings?", BK started her tirade."What should I bless you? Live happily with our Son, by alienating from his own family. I knew this day would come when he brought you from the Jungle, uninformed. No lineage, no background, nothing. Just being a woman doesnt make you fit to be a DIL of my house.", BK spewed all her pent up frustration to the lone opponent. She regretted her words as soon as they were spoken but she had to speak them to pacify her anger. She had to show that it was all her mistake, whatever has happened and whatever followed. Only that would assuage her own guilt a bit.

"Barobar Vahini. My son also got Karishma by his choice, but I trained her well. She knows her place and she is indebted to us for all that we provide her. But this girl is just so ungrateful.", Sonali joined in chorus.

Samrat and Mohit tried to stop them in vain. Omi was flaring his nostrils.

Shivani was trying to calm BK."Vahini, we came here with some purpose, lets not forget that.", she reminded BK.

Sai did not expect this at all. She still had some hope that whatever happened would have melted their heart. That they indeed have come to see their son and talk warmly. For all the hurt she has faced from them, she was still longing for their affection...for there were instances where she felt their warmth for her. Now she was brought back to reality. They will never understand their mistakes, she realized. She controlled her tears and tried to keep calm. She asked Lakshmi tai and Ramprasad Kaka to give them some privacy and leave the house for a while.

"Kaku, what is the reason you all came here?.", Sai asked getting back to the reason of their visit.

"So if we dont tell the reason, will you throw us out?.", howled BK. "You have taken away our son with your vices and now you have audacity to ask us why we came here. Ofcourse we came to check how Virat is doing." , BK said not foreseeing the wrath Sai is going to unleash.

"Yes vahini. Finally she learnt the art of controlling her husband.", mocked Sonali clearly making below the belt comments.

Sai contained her anger but spoke rather directly not bothering about the men present around. Afterall it is the truth...that she is going to speak..which will be uncomfortable and unpleasant.

"Kaku, isnt it what you all always wanted from me? to be a wife to my husband in every way", she answered back Sonali. "I learnt it the hard way, so now my husband will not stray.", she smiled indignantly to which Sonali closed her wide mouth and opened her closed eyes wide.

"Vahiniiiiii'", she hissed at BK "Chee. look how she is talking."

"Hey. Ladki..stop the nonsense." BK screamed. "Look how you are talking without shame....thats why I say one should get a DIL....", Kaku was not sure who to show as an example when Sai cut her and filled in for her.

"Like this?", she showed Sonali and continued "Or like the one who pursued her BIL in the broad day light, in the same pious house that you were commanding?.", she said insinuating to Pakhi and not without ending with the tag line "what is that....Shahannu kuli Maratha ladki...wah", she clapped.

Omi was furious that his wife was mentioned so he darted forward opening his chest up. Sai showed him her palm and shouted. "Omi Kaka...Mind your body and language. You are in a police officer's house. I can get you arrested if I wanted to. Everyone here is authorized to arrest anyone who threatens my safety." she warned. "Dont forget that you were saved once from arrest. If I wish, even now I can send you to the jail for what all you did during Devi Tai's marriage. Remember?",

"How dare you girl? This is how you talk to me?", barked Omi.

"This is how I talk to Goondas. No father-in-law will behave like you do with a DIL.", she derided him with equal volume.

Samrat and Mohit were confused as to what sai was talking so they tried to stop her and gently reprimanded her. But she did not budge.

"Dada, you dont know what these people have done during Devi Tai's marriage", she briefed them as BK stood their stone faced. Omi interrupted her with his crass voice again.

"Oh Devi ji, in whatever crime you are mentioning, dont forget that you FIL was also there.", he reminded shamelessly.

"Yes Kaka, I very well know, and that is not the only reason why I am silent. I am silent because all 3 of you are beloved to my husband. I do not want to hurt him by revealing how low you stooped. That too after reaching the rock bottom when you medicated your own daughter to sickness.", she stated without taking breath and pointing her finger at Omi. "

Samrat was shell shocked. He was tearing up. He could not take anymore of. these revelations. He simply sat back on the sofa chair trying to gather appropriate words.

Sai then turned back to BK, ignoring Sonali royally when she tried to blabber some nonsense.

"Kaku I thought you came here, understanding the mistakes that happened in the family. I thought you would come and talk to us like the eldest of the family. But you still have so much hatred for me. You still didnt realize what went wrong with you all.", Sai told softly but stubbornly.

BK was broken, not sure where but she has nothing to defend so used her ego which is always at her disposal.

"So a 20 year old will tell me how to run a family? I have brought up your husband when the family was shattered due to the sudden demise of my husband. All this pride you are showing off" she said pointing out to the living room walls."that you got from your husband's post is because I held the falling family together.", she proudly stated. "So you better not teach me how to behave.". she said turning away to hide her face.

"I did not say you did not do anything to the family. You must have indeed done so much to the family that your BILs and sons take your word as command. It is not easy to earn that respect Kaku. But how long will you revel in that success ignoring the mistakes that kept happening in front of your eyes. How long will you hide your failures by blaming DILs for your mistakes. Being a matriarch have you ever been impartial to your DILs. Have you ever thought your decisions are causing mental distress to others? If you had thought better, no one in the family would have suffered this much, definitely not your favorite Son Virat. The way you overlooked every mistake of Pakhi didi till now have only caused pain to 4 of us. I dont think I had to remind you that. Few days back you repeated the same mistake when Virat Sir was in hospital and you had given Pakhi didi the responsibility to take care of him. You never liked me, so it was OK but did you think about Samrat dada? Why kaku? Why are these simple things so difficult for you to understand. If you cannot fix it, then atleast dont break it!" Sai said pleading her to understand the damage caused by her decisions.

BK sat down silently, not able to say anything in her favor. She knows, deep down she did play with her children's emotions, just to make sure she could control them when they are vulnerable. Sonali and Karishma are the best examples, how a DIL can be reduced to nothing more than a puppet in her hands. She went into a deep thought, uncomfortable to look straight and turned her face as her eyes started to prick.

"Leave it Kaku. I left the house not because of you. I am used to your treatment towards me. I had no hopes you would ever behave with me any better than before. I left the house because of the people who I trusted abandoned me when I needed them the most." said said gulping her pain as she looked at Shivani, Mohit and then back at Samrat who was still sitting hunched and looking at the floor..

She walked to Samrat, and knelt down before him on the knees and held his hands which were tightly coupled, hiding his anger on himself.

"Dada, no one understood my feelings till you came back. I did not know how to process the feelings I had for Virat sir, till you showed a way. I felt secure with you shielding me from Pakhi didi. I could finally address my issues with Virat sir without the influence of the third person who had been omni present in our lives. I did not feel bad at all when you reprimanded me after knowing Virat Sir's truth. Afterall you are my big brother, so who could have corrected me if not for you? But dada, why did you let Pakhi didi stay with VIrat sir in the hospital? Why did you not fight for my rights?", She now cried softly unable to hold her tears. and making Samrat breakdown too. "Is it fair Dada? You have been through the same pain, and when I was at the place where I could lose him forever, you let her between us?why?", she questioned squeezing his hands more to show her pain.

"I am sorry Sai. I am so sorry dear.", Samrat said holding her hands back. "I was so guilt ridden. I was thinking only of my regrets and I was not seeing what I was doing. Please dont forgive me. dont", he said taking her hands to his head.

Sai then looked up to Mohit, who was also in tears now.

"Mohit bhaiyya, we were always a team right? We should always stand against Kaku and others together right? Thats the deal between us?", she questioned him now smiling. "And you had planned our anniversary along with Virat sir...So you had more information about his feelings than mine. If a person like you who arranged our anniversary party says that Virat Sir had cheated, I would believe it right? I did the same. I am not undermining my mistakes Mohit bhaiyya, but when everyone blamed me for misunderstanding Virat sir, why didnt you come and stand with me saying that it was your misinformation that reinforced my belief. Thats not what teammates do right Bhaiyya?", Sai playfully asked him. "And you had blocked my number?! When I was lost how to go and fetch the medicine for my husband, your brother?.", she questioned him with the authority of a SIL.

And finally looked back at Shivani and spoke

"And Shivani bua, I identified with you more than anyone else in our family. I saw you as my friend and confidant. You are the one who always pushed me to understand Virat sir's love right? Then why dont you for a second counseled me like a friend when we had known the truth? Why didnt you just stayed there with me in the hospital and assure me that we were all together in this mess. Atleast I would have gotten more strength to fight the situation.", she said without any emotions.

"I am not blaming only you for everything that transpired, but ...", she said raising up and dragging her nose to take a full breathe "But I would have definitely dragged you all to the court if something had happened to my husband that day and by any chance I had survived that loss. For jeopardizing his life by ignoring my calls and rendering me incapable of procuring medicine for him.", she said breaking down at the thought of losing her husband. "You all would have paid for your unwarranted cruelty towards me that would have costed Virat sir's life."

BK was now sobbing..and Sonali was not sure whether to console her or not. Everyone was silent when Sai broke the silence.

"So this is the reason, I wanted to come out of that place. The place where I thought I had made 'Dil ka Rishta' with everyone but I realized I made only marital bonds. That I am no one to you all, if Virat sir is not there in the picture. That I would be left mercilessly alone. I did not want to get back to CN because whenever you start interacting with me like before, I would not be able to respond to you the same way I had before...", She said not without adding "What to do, I am a Jungli mulgi...from the forest and I cannot PRETEND", she said with a chuckle.

Epilogue: After this, one can imagine that the family regretted their actions including BK but did not force Sai to come back to CN. They genuinely understood her worth and her selfless love for everyone and waited for her to forgive them 👍🏼 just like Ashwini and Ninad waited.
