Okay so guys what if bade papa came to talk to abhimanyu regarding how can he assure Akshara's future in this house, regarding his concerns and to get assurance from abhimanyu as all abhimanyu wanted was for bade papa to listen to him once...maybe he hasn't got rishta directly but came just to talk to abhimanyu n then he will decide ....agar rishta late toh goenkas se akela Manish kyu aata and aate toh shagun bhi leke aate na...goenkas kuch bhi feeka feeka nai karte...

Yup. He is not there to talk about the rishta. Definitely one on one conversation hoga - from what I can see - to both seek reassurance on Akshara's happiness post marriage and also give his own subtle approval. As you said, Abhi wanted bade papa to listen to him once. So he is there to listen. And talk.
