So, I was right about Imlie's umeed (in him and Seeta maiyya) racing against time. Taking little blows every time she pulled it up.

The struggle of this unwanted, illegitimate child, and her ostracised mother always struggling for scraps of izzat and acceptance was something I thought that would loom large over Imlie in this situation. That she could lose her dreams, her very being. And if she were to lose herself, he would have lost too. So glad that she found it in him. Dhul chhant jayegi aur yeh paudha bhi darakht ban jayega. 💖

Always find Imlie lecturing people with more life experience than her cringe, so gonna ingore that and the precap.

The action was actually quite reminiscent of classic epic movies with hyperreal fighting sequences. Till the Janiya. That was cute and ridiculous at the same time.

Aru realises that Imlie has a propensity for going back to sites of trauma aka T house. Hopefully, this brings an end to it all once and for all. Like you stop eating bitter, bland food after the mourning period and partake in meat and sweets again.

A word about the composition of the balcony scene: the brothel was a site of ugliness, resistance-and-eventual-defeat, hopelessness before Aryan entered the place. The overwhelming yellow and hot-pink, interspersed with those garish mirror curtains hurt the eyes. With Aryan, soft yellows, magenta, browns, and ivory enter the scene— indicating a moment of respite from anxiety; an environment of intimacy, safety, and love; a moment of recaliberation of one's own strength, a touch of relief. A suspension of time when they are racing against it.

Loved the soft yellow and pink flowers on the balcony today— a transformation of a site of objectification to one of intimacy and hope.

Haven't watched the full episode, I am not too fond of fight scenes in general so might not watch it. Caught a few clips though and realized Aryan is not Buddha, he is 27 years 7 months old. How dare Imlie ? 😤 But jokes apart BG, you write poetry even in your prose. Each line I read is so beautifully articulate . It was brilliant of you to observe and capture in words, the composition of the balcony scene. Imlie said a lot of words that explains her psychology but there were a lot of words between the lines as well. She has an immense saviour complex and this saviour complex satiates her need for "earning love" and subconscious validation. Only if she is able to help someone out, make someone's life better and makes a place simply better by any means be it as a househelp in T Clan or rescuing the girls/former Babusahab from danger (Brothel and Aatank respectively). Only then she feels that might be capable of the love she receives.

It obviously arises from the fact that in her village she had to fight for a place of her own being an illegitimate child, she had to make herself different (she succeeded doing that in academics) but she always knew how conditional her acceptance was. And subconsciously she knows it's true with the T Household as well, it showed in her eyes that day when they came back from Pagdandiya and she was walking away, knowing that aren't even looking for her "their mooh-boli beti", much less notice but still due to attachment and wanting a sense of having a place to "fit in" in her version of a happy, healthy family ; she can't let them go. They fill the void she has been trying to fill since her childhood. They give her a sense of belonging, however false it might be. That's why it was easier for her to detach herself from Aditya rather than T Clan. It also hurt (maybe even offend ) her that Aditya refused the help she was trying to give regarding the Malini case, she was trying to bring him justice but he himself deleted the video. It was the ultimate violation of her love and that's when she begin to finally see the cracks. Imlie inherently likes to be needed, it gives her a purpose so when Rupi called her after Aparna had a heart attack and when Aparna herself called her when the T house was up for sale, she impulsively gives up on everything else and tries to find for a solution and help them.

Now coming back to your point, I don't think this was the end. As you mentioned, her love for bland food is a habit that even if salty or sweet dishes are present right in front of her face, she will still choose the bland one by her force of habit ; not knowing how to accept or process anything else and because bland is what she has always known. She is addicted to it. Our hope in that case is just Aryan whose halka sa push might end up helping one day but I personally don't think that day is going to come anytime sooner.

OTT scenes lekin maza aagaya 🥰Watched it 3 times already... I'm so happy

Alright let's start

1) The first scene of Imlie throwing away the jewelry, chudiya, dupatta and gajra were great.

- I want to write more about this symbolism but am too tired to do so. If anyone else can do this interpretation then that would be great 👍🏼unless if already done.

2) Imlie sensing Aru and waiting for him to show up and stand beside her was amazing.

She wanted him to be there as her support system and give her strength to beat the crap out of those men.

This scene and the fighting scenes reminded me of the Shiv-Shakti topic (@libran). Aryan came to support his Shakti. He let her fight her battles without interference and only stepped in when it was necessary.

Shiv-Shakti, although may seem separate but they are one and the same, Shiv is Shakti and Shakti is Shiv😊. 50-50 partnership but when together they are 100% pure strength.

3) Fight Scenes were so OTT But it was fun to watch

- I was like what is happening. Yeh PD ki ladkiya kya khaati hain yaar

- The very first scene before the first gundda shows up to hit Imlie- Both Aru and Imlie are shown looking at each other. That was an epic scene tbh... it felt like they were having their own aanko hi aanko main conversation and it was so cute

- Throughout the fight scene, Imlie was focused on beating the heck out of those ppl but also made sure to look at Aru and smirk in her mind 😏. Imlie be like "Dekha Imlie ka power. Har baar kya sirf tum punch aur kick maarat ho. Ee dekho humra kick. Itna powerful hain ki directly blood nikal diyes muh se"

and Aru be like "😱😏 Good job! Arey tum toh meri unofficial wife aise hi thodi na ho, kuch soch samajh ke hi toh banaya hai maine"

- Seriously though I saw so much progress from Imlie today during the fight scenes. It felt like she was trying to show off to Aru . And my man Aru just sat there like a boss admiring his Junglie wife .

- The dupatta scene was awesome. But seriously how strong is Imlie exactly 🤔. Itne hatte katte insan ko ek duppatte se pull karliya. 😆

She went into beast mode when she realized that someone was trying to hurt her Man.

Dekhna aage chalke aise hi duppatte se Aru ko apne paas kichegi 🤭

- Then just when I thought OTT scenes ab khatam ho jayenge, BAM the kamar hold, airlift kick, punch, and gol gol ghumao scene - I'm just going to ignore everything and focus on our lovelies and their budding love.

Well, at least we got a little bit of Mr.&Mrs. Smith style fighting - something is better than nothing.

4) Gilheri: Loved her today! Arylie shipper

- behen joh tune dekha woh hum sab ne dekha lekin humare resident lovers Aru-Imlie ne nahi dekha. Lekin koi nahi tumne baat shuru toh ki.. I'm very happy with her dialogues today. "Aap dono ki jodi ko nazar na lage" 😏🤭, "Aap dono ki aankho main nazar aa raha hain" 🤭, "Aur haan imlie tab tak shaayad sari dhool chadh jaaye" 😆

- Aru and Imlie covering up for the dialogues thrown by Gilheri - Oh ho Imlie Aru, itna kya sharma rahe ho 🤭... so cute. KUCH KUCH HOTA HAIN 😉

5) Aru's age is finally revealed: 27 yrs and 7 months only😆

- So I'm guessing he is about 7 yrs, 7months, and a few days older than Imlie, since her 20th birthday is just around the corner. 🤔

6) Imlie going back to the place which gives her nothing but difficulty and hardship

- This was a good scene actually. For Imlie her life is less imp than her izzat, which is why she didn't thank Aru when he saved her life but instead thanked him when he saved her Izzat. From her past, seeing how her mom was treated she has always valued her izzat more than anything.

+ this time Imlie holding his hand with full haq. YAASSSS this is the best day OMG OMG

Two things from today's episode felt like a foreshadowing of what might happen during or after PF.

1- Imlie goes back to the place where she gets hardships and difficulties Why? because she wants to change her way of thinking pertaining to the place, ppl, situation etc.

2- Agar ude ka chaahat ho toh zameen chode ke padi hain, agar pinjra tode ke ha toh panchi ko pankh failaye ke padat hain.

From these two things, I feel like somehow she is going to leave the Tripathi Pinjra either with good memories or a bitter taste cause of their toxicity. It all depends on if the makers want to show the Tripathi's toxic environment.

7) Malini showing up

- I literally said "Jab dekho tapak padti hain" when she showed up.

- Malini dear you gonna die at the hands of Aru & Imlie - Muuuhahahahaha😈

8) Precap:

- A total trap for Malini... there is no way Aru would let Imlie fall. He is all the Marvel superheroes combined so no way he is gonna let anything happen to her.

Now we have to see whether this will be a Ghost wala drama or Amnesia wala drama, or Coma wala drama (where Imlie is in coma and Malini tries to kill her in the hospital 🤔)
