There is a difference between not liking someone and abusing them. Shiva & Suman Kaki have crossed that line. If they had kept these two characters respectable in their dislike, you would still have people rooting for Shiva.

And there is never going to be any progression for ShiVi until & unless some good writers come on-board to replace the existing ones.

I had kinda sorta similar thing: My in-laws never wanted non Patel bahu. So I was Always their punching bag. My FIL was as nasty as Suman at times in terms of indirect verbal taunts. I have Sil/nanad like Dhara who loves to taang adaao in everything. Initial years kept it easy , ignored , avoided confrontations , spoke up but softly

once my first child was born & Fil commented something nasty on my first day back home/ made my mid- that’s it! Started giving back politely but firmly! My husband was supportive, that always helped. Being financially independent was another thing that helped.
Being mother brings strength, sometimes you don’t know you have.

Ghatiya dialogues toh pehle bhi tha....tho I'll agree its become more dirty 🤔 But the way they showed her pulling Raavi.... threatening with the stick.....even Dhara raising her hand.....this level of ghatiya drama is beyond me.

It's just bad writing, nothing else.

They want to show angst. But failing miserably.

For audience to like Angst filled tracks, there are Some basic rules. No matter how mean the ml and fl are to each other but they always stand up to a third person or family who insult their partner. The separation always has monologues, flashbacks and solo breakdown scenes that makes you feel for both the characters and the love and misery is visible.Separation is always followed by a redemption track no matter how phuski it is, but it's still there.

If they had only shown shiva hurting raavi or not trusting her, then woh alag baat hai. But here his whole family is ganging up and abusing her. That's what makes raavi the victim. And there is nothing from Shiva's side that shows his love or inner turmoil since weeks now.

About his ghusaa-

She calmed him in hospital and at jaaniu"s house to not beat further...it felt as finally they are moving ahead with how only raavi can calm him and all..

But now toh..

If they don't want to address his anger issues why do they highlight it with phaltu dialogue- tera ghussa ki vajah baat badhti hai , raavi tujhe tere iss ghusse ka karan chod gayi🤔
