Anuj’s apple watch beeped with a reminder of his upcoming meeting. He used all his effort to move away from Anu. Giving a sheepish smile, Anuj grabbed his suit and went to shower.
Anu not comprehending, what just happened, slowly got up. She poured the coffee in a to-go cup to keep it warm and start on breakfast. Anuj came out wiping his wet hair and thanked Anu for the coffee and breakfast. They chitchatted about the day’s plans. Anu did not really have much next, as the business project with Anuj had come to a standstill.
Anuj suggested she attend the meeting with him, as he was meeting with Venture Capitalist and Investors, who specialized in Micro investing. He had used his contacts to start another project to provide micro-capital to small women’s businesses. He did not have to heart to continue in the restaurant business, as it could potentially interfere with Mukku’s Capital investors. He would probably be the preferred choice if he was to raise funding for the restaurant idea of Anu and it would take away from Mukku's funding. He explained his thought’s to Anu, who agreed, as the siblings may need a bit of space.
Anuj’s new idea was to raise funding from the Venture Capitalists and in-turn flow that funding to smaller women’s business at lower interest rates. Anuj’s project would handle the risk and provide business advice at a small fee. This guaranteed that women’s capital at lower interest rates and guidance on general business practices. It allowed these women-owned businesses freedom to return the capital in their own time, without worrying about collateral and own their business completely.
Anu really liked the idea as these provided both the Capital and independence to other women, similar to when she was starting her Dance Academy. She was in awe of Anuj and his brilliance.
Anu, “But what would I do there”. I am do not know much about investing and capital financing.
Anuj, “There is no age to learning. You can observe the meeting and we will get lunch afterwards.” Moreover, in case your hand gets worse, I can take you to the clinic, as I do not trust you to take care of it; he said giving a mocking glare.
Anuj’s blushed at the comment, but knew it was true. She quickly changed, while Anuj researched more about the people he would be meeting on his phone.
Anu and Anuj headed out together and meet the investors in a nice office. Anuj also introduced Anu as his partner.
The first investor they were meeting, was a sophisticated professional lady named Reetika. She asked intelligent questions about the project. She also commanded a team, who were taking notes and updating their calculations on the business risk as Anuj presented the preliminary figures.
During a lull in conversation, as the calculations were being updated, Anu noted Reetika kept glancing at Anuj flirtatiously. Anuj was a consummate professional and still engaged her in the conversation. He had obviously noticed it and was negotiating for lower interest rates for the initial capital, using this to his advantage.
Anu was not even have heart to be surprised anymore. Everyone was in awe of this man and he was using his business acumen and charisma to benefit this empowering new project.
