Another lovely chapter M!
I enjoyed the progression of relations you've chosen to lay out in this chapter. A family is made up of so many different links, each with its own stories, fears, comforts. I could see these threads woven between all of them so delicately that my heart ached.
And you are brave! I cannot imagine having to write the death of a character, especially one that affects a child you've made us all love. That scene with Neel and Arpita made me want to hug them both.
And my heart hurt so much reading Aryans fervent prayer. You've worded it tremendously well.
his mother was going to fly the nest, never to return again, not in this lifetime
I've read this line a few times and I keep feeling choked up thinking about Neel. He's fictional and I am worrying about his mental health.
I just need to take a moment to let everything about Ch 15 sink in. It felt heavy, but good.
Well done.👏
Ahhh! See that prayer made Aryan cry too 😭 It is only going to get heavier, me thinks after this. I am going to try and do my best to break it up because it is about both life and death. But, complicated is the route here forward.
