That leaves Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.

Used to be there was only one superstar, rest were just stars

Even before that it used to be, they were called actors (or actresses) only a few of them were called stars...

Then eveybody become a star but now that's not enough

Everybody is a superstar now...

Mukesh Khanna is a right-winger. He would cast Akshay or Ajay in the film. They're Superstars as well.

Ajay is a decent choice and would be able to portray the dual identities of Gangadhar and Shaktiman.

Akshay would be fine as well but he would just do a half assed job like he did with Prithviraj, when these type of films need time and commitment.

But most suitable for the role in my opinion would be Ranveer or Shahid. They are good actors, age appropriate, bankable and young enough to take the franchise forward. But they're not Superstars.

SRK and Aamir won't suit the role, Salman just plays himself, Hrithik already has Krrish and Ranbir has yet to prove himself in the action genre.
