For each one of her fans, it will always be a huge personal loss. But she'll be remembered forevermore. ❤️

What a sad day. Truly, feels like a personal loss ☹️💔
Patriotic, devotional, classical, sad, chirpy, solos, duets, she mastered every form of music with equal ease and perfection..
Lata Ji hamesha hamari zindagi ka aham hissa rahengi, Rest in Peace Swar-Kokila❤️

Kitni sundar Kavita hai ye Mousy. An apt tribute to Lataji.
Truly the last of the greats- we’ve lost them all, only Asha B remains
Guzara hua zamana aata nahi dobara
Haafiz khuda tumhara….
Lata sang for all the leading MDs (with the notable exception of OPN).
I'm posting some of my favorite Lata songs(solos) for these leading MDs from the Golden Era.
Before she came into her own, female voices like those of NoorJehan, Zohrabai Ambalewali, Shamshad and Suraiya were preferred with a thick undertone to them. Lata with her sweet, bird-like voice came in and trilled her way into the Hindi film industry and peoples' hearts and never left!

None. What a maestro....My father still says only one sentence to describe her and I couldn't agree more :
"Awaaz aisi thi Lata Ji Ki...Ki maano Koyal hi Kook rahi ho subeh subeh." ❤️
