True that, her character wasn’t developed fully to begin with. I remember an interview of Aneri where she said that after an hour’s meeting, RS signed her. Whereas for Anuj ka character, they had worked for six months as per GK’s interview. That sloppy work is showing up in Mukku’s character.

The makers wanted a roadblock for Anu’s confession so that it can be dramatic at later point. To create roadblock, they added Mukku. Initially she seemed to be totally negative. Anuj ki jaan hai woh yet phone be Malvika feed kiya tha ab woh change karke Mukku ho gaya. Matlab, nazar se door toh dil se door kya… no way especially seeing the feelings of Anuj to Mukku. whatever guilt, love and tadap has been shown, from that it seems he can’t be ever be detached from her and is a part of his heart. So his initial response was strange.

Then his talk with GK, things got toned down and finally after her entry everything was topsy-turvy. Kabhi aar kabhi paar.. like her entry song. The makers didn’t have a clear sketch and are swinging her like pendulum to create mess as per need.

They thought they'll get her to say both positive and negative things, so then they can decide later, what they want her to become. Lazy writing + buying time that's what it is.

I wonder what they have in store for Vanraj. How long will we keep having to see him. As much as I can see, the fandom can't stand even his alone acenes. We fast forward, the tv people will change channel.

more than being the roadblock, I think she was intended to bring Vanraj back into action, you know hero issues and all khair they know they messed it up big time...it was all so rushed and poorly planned...

They just play with her character as they please and jidar hawa chali waise Mukku ko mod do...

swinging reminded me of something, has anyone watched the netflix show ‘you’? ok moving to T thread for follow up on this😳

arey Mini on the contrary i feel the tv audience like this Anu Vanraj tashan, star plus has been dishing out such crap for years...they like aise cheap plots sorry but the TRP people are drama lovers warna Anu ka bhashan itna popular kyu hota...

online audience can’t stand him but baaki toh he works sadly...

and about Mukku I agree she was a test case right from the beginning.

Oh, hmmm I think they might like Anu's bhashan because in a small way they see themselves in her, so her giving it back is nice. But Vanraj was scripted to be disliked.

Anybody will get tired of seeing the same villain doing the same shit again and again and never have karma hit him na.

An audience loves to see a villain fall. Which is why these long shows need characters like Rakhi, who can keep being evil but will also keep falling.

Episode looks as we expected, (not what I want to see), will just skip parts and wait for priyanka's update.

low key - I wanted to see Anupama’s growth. I wanted to see her find self-awareness and satisfaction with work, Anuj/romance, and a hobby (like dancing.. do the writer’s remember that?😆). Anupamaa doesn’t need to be stagnant & focused on only one aspect of life but unfortunately, they can’t evenly display a balanced storyline with well-thought tracks.

Its all marketing. I guess they have to keep fans engaged, with recent declinein TRps😆

At the root of it all, the TRPs and such will only come thanks to a male lead people can get behind as well as a couple to ship. I want MaAn to happen, and it was beautiful to see Anuj enter her life, but it seems like they don't know where to go from here 😔 This is what makes the viewers oscillate btwn wanting drama and wanting romance. Neither is being satisfactorily brought to the screen 😕 & thus, they've creative this imbalance. They have a lot to work with but it's as if they don't know how to use the ingredients to make a meal.

Vanraj is literally the Saas in the required Saas-Bahu standard 😆
