We have an interesting discussion going on about Aryan's motive or lack of one in regards to AKT and Imlie being the CEO for a day. I would like to put my 2 cents please.
About Aryan having a motive that is to pick a bone with Aditya, I don't think there is one. He has shown previously that he won't take any help be it Imlie or Malini to bring Aditya down. He simply isn't the person to play behind people like AC and MC, I think that's a clear distinction to be made between the faux villain and the actual villains. Of course, he might derive pleasure if Adi gets offended but I think that's more for Imlie's sake rather than his own personal revenge. Aditya did question Imlie's position so I think this gives Imlie a good opportunity to show her worth, not only to AKT but to the interns as well. Aryan has stated his side of the narrative regarding the affair/rumors AKT has brewed against him and Imlie but this also gives Imlie a chance to show rather than state, her side of the narrative or how she handles it as well. This is how I think Aryan might have rationalized internally and rest, as he said clearly in the episode it is a platform he is giving her and he will see how she utilizes it, a great way to measure her potential. Even though we can't deny how Aryan enjoyed seeing Imlie getting stuck in this pickle, I mean she did put him on the spot in front of his family (out of concern hi sahi) so it is kind of fair.
And secondly it's not really unrealistic to be a CEO for a day since, it's no official transfer of power plus Bhaskar Times is not some Multinational company that it will affect other branches. It's like how in school, the teacher allows the child to teach for a day just to test his understanding. It is something that some companies do follow, I found an article as well which states :
And once a month, we let an employee become the CEO for a day.
Unsurprisingly, the “CEO of the Day” program is one of our most popular initiatives. The program gives our employee the reins for 24 hours with an unlimited budget. The only requirement? The CEO must make one lasting decision that will help improve the working experience of Vincit employees. Whatever the CEO of the Day decides, the company sticks with. They can purchase something for the company, change a policy, update a tool we use … Really, anything that they come up with can be done.

This does seem like a fun and useful policy but yeah so basically not that unrealistic.
