Covid made me realize the importance of marriage and companionship.

If I don't get married I would definitely end up adopting a kid because loneliness hurts alot and would hurt me more in old age.

I say fun.

I dated my husband for 9 years before tying the knot. North-South divide and nerd-jock divide was there, so had to go against the entire family and convince them in order to get married. In the middle of this there were 4 years of long distance during our specialization, so we really came to appreciate each other.

It's daunting, I guess, if you don't find the right person. Too many people around me are getting divorced or are just plain unhappy, so I get why people are so reluctant.

But I had super romantic and happy parents and found the guy I would marry when we were so young, so I have a very optimistic view about marriage.

At times it's frustrating, but there's something to be said about ending your day knowing someone really cares for you.
