The idea is that you want to try and get the funniest sentence possible by filling in the blanks. Well here the roles that each person got. To be fair to those murderers who played for an average of a week and still got caught, I decided to give you 15 points (instead of 0). This is for all the hardwork you put in to ensure that you didn't get caught.

Murderer

You are the murderer and you killed Ashley because she got you drunk the night before a big job promotion interview and stole the promotion from you. She joined the company after you and yet managed to always get ahead of you and then cheated you at the last minute. You paid someone to turn the lights off exactly an hour into the party and you took the opportunity to use the bread knife that would be used to cut the cake to stab Ashley to death. You made it a point to let Friend 1 stand beside Ashley so that you would be the last person to be suspected. It is in your best interest not to get caught so you are allowed to say whatever you want when asked questions (including lying or blaming others). You know that Ashley slept with Friend 1's boyfriend and Friend 3 tried to hit on Ashley and failed.

Friend 1

You know that murderer was supposed to get the promotion that Ashley got and you were surprised to see murderer happy at the party. You were responsible for bringing the cake out along with the knife that is now in your friend. You were also planning on surprising Ashley by having her boyfriend show up at the party in a bit. You were standing right beside Ashley when she died and you are afraid that you will be the first person to be suspected which leads you to lie about obvious things. When you get questioned about those lies, your response is to turn around and ask the same questions of that person.

Friend 2

You know that Friend 1 was angry at Ashley because she slept with Friend 1's boyfriend. You are surprised to see that Friend 1 is acting happy and you immediately start questioning them. You had stepped out of the room when the light went out and you are worried that you will be immediately questioned for that so your response to that question is to question the person back. You are aware that Friend 3 doesn't like Ashley because she turned Friend 3's advances down so you try to make it seem like Friend 3 was lying out about being passed out on the couch.

Friend 3

You are pissed off that Friend 2 dragged you to this party when you just wanted to relax at home and so you immediately start drinking and pass out on the couch. However, that turns out to be your undoing because people turn on you and start questioning whether you were actually drunk or just acting it. You are angry and frustrated and your responses are sarcastic. You know that Friend 1 was planning on some "surprise" and so you try to deflect the suspicion to them.

And in order (murderer, friend 1, friend 2, friend 3), the roles were as follows per group. The murderers caught are in red and the murderers who got away are in green.
