I would love a conversation between Arohi and Abhimanyu where he tells her why he loves Akshara and why Arohi doesn't need him because love is not about just winning and then she has her own love story with Neil or someone else may be...

even I was confused when after knowing the whole truth abhimanyu only sympathized with akshara and thought about her hardships..he didn't think about aarohi for even a second..because obviously aarohi lost her mother too in that accident and she hates her sister for that the same way abhimanyu hates his father...

Abhimanyu is really biased when it comes to akshara..he only cares about akshara's feelings and his sensitive side is only for her because he loves her..that's a fact..

Thank God aarohi and abhimanyu's marriage did not happen otherwise it would have been a disaster

Whoever's writing Abhimanyu this week is trying to do damage control but this is now too little, too late. I totally agree that the charm from the first few episodes is gone.

The arc of this story is a mess and I have a feeling HC is being given directions like "you know what Aditya Hooda did in episode xyz of BP, yeah act JUST like that" 🤣

That scene where he's being dragged out of the Goenka house, making funny expressions and 'phone me' gestures is pure Aditya Hooda.

Haha, yes the romantic scenes were very 'nibba nibbi' (lekin yeh THULLU kya hai??). It's fine to have a couple where the girl's an ingenue and the man's an older stone cold fox - but then don't drag him down to act like a lovesick teenybopper🤢 Also yeesh, the incessant crying... DKP should also get Kleenex to sponsor this show...

Kartik and Naira both babytalked each other (and it got annoying there too). But then Mohsin Khan is babyfaced and HC is a rugged man's man. When he babytalks to Akshu, it spoils the romantic dynamic that (I think) they tried to originally set up.

He was super hot in the 'comforting after anxiety attack' scene, the way he responded to Akshu at the mask dance, and especially the scene with the locked car door at the Goenka's. There he was the sorted mature man processing his attraction to the innocent, slightly scattered younger woman. Not the angry impulsive hothead or the sar-phira shoeless majnu with his crazed facial expressions we've gotten lately. These writers just cannot make up their minds...

It's probably a testament to HC's acting and professionalism that he is taking all these contradictory character directions and trying to do them all justice! A good actor following a bad script and inconsistent directives can only do so much...

Also seeing yesterday's episode, I'm not sure Papa Birla's PhD is in PR - after that embarrassment of a failed wedding and all the flaring tempers, showing up at a major event with full parivaar in a city where the Goenkas are (supposedly) part of the social elite is not good PR at all. It's a guarantee that some massive tamashaa will happen 😆

Finally, Abhimanyu Birla got some sense. After his mom gave a lecture using laddos to the 5 year old kid that he is. Like I said a manchild. Teek hai. Der se hi sahi samaj to aaya.

Reiterating that, he should have spoken to Kairav after the Tilak fiasco or after her rejection if he was 100% sure she loved him. All this could have been avoided. But this is a drama. They can't do anything straight forward. Needs to be dragged and ruin the characters while being at it.

Also, did anyone notice, how he started talking to her in the baby voice, but changed it (in a very visible and obvious way) to talk like a normal couple. Thank god, looks like they are indeed figuring out how ridiculous it looks when he babies her.

Being said that, Kartik also talked to Naira in that way. But it was actually cute. For some reason Harshad or Abhimanyu just can't pull it off.

PS: I still find the show boring. For some reason, the first few days wala charm is not coming back.

I only remember watching HC in Kis Desh and Tere Liye and I prefer him to be that serious put together dude…he has the looks for that. Him being sooooo….I don’t know? Mushy!? Doesn’t suit him

But I don’t think it’s his fault. The writers have done him injustice. But I did think the scene with Akshu outside of Goenka Villa was cute. Maybe damage control. I’m pretty sure these writers do read our comments because a lot of times I feel like a dialogue they say or a scene there is something I’ve already seen being discussed here. Hopefully they will slowly improve his character. I am personally not a fan of grown men talking in baby voices. It reminds me someone I absolutely hate……him changing his tone and talking in a normal voice with Akshu is what saved that scene and made it cute

Agreed and that scene (bold) was the best showcase for the kind of believable chemistry that could've been developed between these two. It would've have been something different for YRKKH.

I don't like grownups speaking to each other in baby talk either. I find it creepy. But I have friends who do this with their significant others and I know some married couples who babytalk each other out of affection. To each their own - I guess it's a form of intimate communication that might come across as weird to an outsider. On this particular show, I think it backfires spectacularly by highlighting the age differences between the leads in an uncomfortable way (as opposed to the car scene which uses this difference to make the chemistry hotter😆).

I'm watching Tere Liye now and still in the childhood scenes (HC is in literal paagal mode when he comes on screen...)

HC was amazing in Tere Liye. It shows what he’s capable of doing

I think this is still the beginning of this show (three/four months in) so they still have time to show us what kind of chemistry these two have…it mostly depends on the writers. I’m convinced they realized what damage they have done to Abhimanyu as that’s why the last few episodes have been more like damage control?

Somehow DKP is more careful than others. I don't think their team from ex or current shows talk in the way HC does. It can be detrimental too. Pranali also started talking in the same manner.

I entirely agree that this is now damage control mode but in the end, the relationship arc is what soured me on Kaira. After multiple rounds of seeing Kartik accuse, abuse and generally mistreat Naira and then seeing Naira react by running away or being unnecessarily mahaan, their romantic/loving scenes just fell flat.

You're right that Akshara and Abhimanyu's romantic arc is still in its early stages but it's already been made so 'tedha' that I think they'll need to be extra consistent to keep the rest of it on track (for some of us, clearly they can do no wrong in the eyes of others...). Since TRP is the ruling force, ultimately whatever gets them more will be what they'll keep doing. Every time Kaira divorced or separated, their TRPs went up because people wanted to see how they would get back together... What's the trend with this season's triangle/Abhira separation? I haven't been keeping track.

The crying too...just not in character.. Remember in the first SP promo introducing Dr. Abhimanyu Birla? He was working out and punching out his emotions? That was more like than getting under a blanket and crying and dreaming of playing tic tac toe with akshu. 🤢

Exactly! They showed Abhimanyu as a man who is disciplined and restrained, who had developed his own coping strategies for keeping his emotions in check. If I were to play devil's advocate, I guess we're being shown falling in love and being rejected was his undoing (Kabir Singh - although I've never seen that movie and now I never will🤣). But still, there were two character arcs - one where Abhimanyu succumbs to his heartbreak (which we are getting in spades) and one where we see how a mature man handles this situation and tries to find a resolution using his intelligence and empathy (which was highlighted in the early episodes). Not surprisingly, the writers went for the lowest common denominator...
