i finished IOTNBO, The show is overall great but on entirety i am going to dock its rating by 1 so 8/10

the issue i have was how the handled YM mother arc. I so wished that character would have been anyone else than her mother. A show that is so taut and perfect with such minute details, how do the have such gaping plot hole. They never explain how she survived the head injury plus the massive bleeding though. Even if you say the father's memories are messed up because of his sickness, it still doesn't make sense since Moon Young's memory matches with her father's. By that, I meant the memory where her Mom was locked in the basement, head bleeding excessively. Even if she wasn't dead, how did she manage to disappear with that injury?!?!

Also i felt GT was an emotional abuser to YM so many times he used to say such nasty horrible things to her and then went goey

having said that each fairytale woven into the plot was chef's kiss. all the character arc were great. As mentioned before ST and YM were my fav

Ye SP nahi DD ka show hai. Early 90s bornwalon ko bahot shows ke baare me pata hota hai chaahe vo dekhe ya na dekhe ho. Even Aakash would tell about many shows. Iss show ki story ke baare me mujhe ek forum ki friend bataayi thi.

Journalist and spy are much similar. In Shanti, the FL enters some Bollywood makers house to do some story but in reality she came to find out about dad(her mom's rapist) which was among 2 oldie directors. Throughout the show she had two or more relationships. To Spy Bahu ke article me likha hai due to FL's sone past she entrees a house. Par ye usse inspired nahi hoga. This was just an assumption. Vaise inspired aur remake me bahot farak hota hai.

My mom used to watch shanti I guess, she always mentioned shanti astitva buniyad etc as good shows which used to run. Need to ask Her.

There was a extra marital affair show back then too, between two lonely old duo. Apparently they showed it quite realistically, not sure ema tha ki old age mein pyar but there was a show back then.

There were many EMA shows back then like Hasratein, Dard, Saans, Sailaab, Swabhimaan, Tara and some more. But they were shown realistically. I guess they were trying to show realities of some high class and even some middle-class people.

Today I got to know that Shubhashish Jha is the son of this journalist and award winning writer who even did some talk shows on regional channels. I knew earlier his dad is journalist but today only I got to know that he wrote many books and did talk shows on TV. Does this also comes under nepotism?

Yes since audience were mostly high class. This show looks like a dysfunctional family.
