Maan decided to start with business and along with it he will carry over his education. Education was his goal todo MBA from best school, before that he would do any 3-year graduation course with correspondence. This will give him time to focus on his business along with completing his education. Thus he enrolled for Correspondence course for B Com.
Geet, as landed to Mumbai received call from Maan. Ohh it was a video call. She picked immediately
Ohh she was so happy to get to look at his face “Maa-aan” she almost jumped up and down. Mohinder was surprised to see her excitement for Maan.
“New Phone? When did you buy? How much did it cost?” Mohinder could not believe his princess would ever talk on price of a cellphone
“Bas Bas kitne sawal? Ok,now I saw you, I am going on normal call” “Noooo, I wanna keep seeing you” All the dullness and frustration of her face was gone
“No, I don’t want Gabbar to listen to our talk” “Gabbar?” and then her eyes went on face of her Dad, who was so irritated, she giggled and went back to normal phone.
“He keeps calling your Dad with name and you enjoy it” Geet ignored her Dad. She knew how much Maan respected her Dad.
She went on normal call and ran to her room as she entered the mansion “Love you Love you love you… already missing you….”
“Missing you too… Just got this phone so I can” “I know, you will never spend for your luxury. Mujhe bhej diya khud se door isliye”
“hmmm” He suddenly sounded low to her “Maa-aan” “Hmmm”
“Bolo na” “Hmmm” they kept quiet for a while feeling each other
“Ok, you take rest now.. hmmm” “Hmmm”
“Ok listen” “Hmmm” she just wanted to keep listening to him “Moving with Maa to Chandigarh next week”
He told her about his course enrollment. Geet was so happy. He was planning for his career. Now no one could stop him. She had such deep faith in him. She knew no one other than Maan himself could stop him for rising high.
“Maan I want to be part of your wonderful career” “Hmmm abhi start hua nahi, and you already made it wonderful” “Shut Up. You are going to be the best, Samjhe Tum”
“Ok baba. Can I disobey you? Have I anytime?” she smiled “I love you.. love you so much”
She heard the knock on the door and then Mohinder was inside her room.
“Chalo Bye, your Gabbar is here” she said in low voice “Bye.. Love U” he laughed
“Yes Dad” she said with straight face. He did not like that.she could giggle with that Bodyguard and make face with her Dad.
“Let’s have dinner” “You could have sent anyone to call me.”
But she left with him. While they were having dinner “I am throwing Garnd party in your honor tomorrow. So you can be back with your high profile dressing till you are staying in Mumbai and present yourself with class of Geet Handa, Daughter of Mohinder Handa”
“Dad, seriously I don’t want these party and all. My exams are approaching and I need to focus on my studies. Maan expects me to get best result. I can’t disappoint him”
“He wants good result for you. Khud kitna parda likha hai woh”
“He is simply brilliant Dad. Best in whatever he touches. Don’t you remember, he was best in his job here.”
“There are so many things in him, your daughter just can’t stop falling for him…” Mohinder cut her
“Ok, I am not interested.” He paused “You are attending the Party tomorrow. And yes, I am not any less worried for your result, do you get that. But we have our class and status to maintain alongside”
“Ok fine, I will be there in Party and with your standard.fine?” Mohinder was relieved. He has to start showing the difference and many more thing. She needed to be back to this world.
Gee went to her room, locked it and dialed her hubby
“Hmmm dinner done?” “Hmm yours” “Hmmm. Maa is missing you too. It took her late to sleep tonight.”
Geet did not say anything. Maan knew how much attached she has become with his Mom
“Ok Listen, Dad has kept party tomorrow. I don’t want to go.I know what he is trying to do” Maan explained her to keep her calm and attend the party and call him after. They cut the call after, advising each other to focus on their career.
Before cutting the call “Ok, stay focused and study. Love yaa… Bye “Maan cut the call immediately Geet was little disappointed. She wanted more romance. She could never get enough of him.
For Maan, he was going all crazy missing her and it being night, he was missing her more. He needed to get hold.
Next morning Geet did not get call from Maan, only message of staying focused and enjoy the Party. She was so very upset. But study with full concentration as he had wished but she was pissed of.
Mohinder tried to talk to her but all she said “Dad will meet at party. Need to go to college”
Mohinder let her be, there was no hurry for him. His daughter was at last with him. Mohinder made calls for getting office ready for Geet.
Maan on other side, went to different sites. His course will start in 10 days, till then he wanted to get started. He went to several bank for loan but all rejected his plea as he had no job. He showed them his performance, he explained them in so many ways “Trust me it will be only benefit for you. I will give 5% share to any bank which finance me now” Most laughed on him, the boy didn’t even have any job, his only source of income was the good amount of rent for his Haveli and he was planning for the Start Up company and its 5 % share. None of these broke Maan. Determination was only building.
So many times he wished to call Geet, she was his strength but he did not want to trouble her with his issues, especially when she has to cope up with her studies and her Dad’s unending tricks to brainwash her.
Geet, in college, luckily did not see her friends. She least wanted to see them. She went to clerk’s office, got her documents ready for exams.
In The Evening – Elegant Party Hall
Mohinder had invited, all his circles and business associates with Families. He wanted to reinstall his daughter’s position in the circle. He had called her friends except Ronit. After realizing what the truth is he had made sure Ronit is stuck in Jail. His life was ruined.
Everyone waited for her. Mohinder knew all would have so many questions for his disappearance of his daughter. All Geet’s friend were strictly directed to not mention about her marriage. So he had tried to keep thing about her marriage under wrap.
Geet made her much awaited entry to the party. From far she looked all so elegant in her off shoulder evening gown, high heels, elegant pearl set adoring her neck and ears. Mohinder felt proud of his daughter. But this pride was short lived when Geet approached. She was very elegant but waht took off Mohinder’s mind was the vermillion on head, which was less visible due to hair do but her Mangalsutra in her neck. She adored it proudly.
“What happened to your class Geet? Does it suit to my daughter?” he said in super irked tone
“Now what happened Dad? I came to party for you, not at all interested in it. Still I am here”
“Get this thing off you. Here I am trying to bring you back to the circle but you are hell bent on spoiling things.”
“Dad!! How can you?” she held her Mangalsutra. “Geet what have happened to your class.”
“Dad, if you want I can leave this party now, you can explain all your classy circle.”
“Ok, At least hide it somewhere. Please Geet for your Dad” Geet didn’t want to make scene. Especially knowing Maan would not approve her making scene in her Dad’s party.
Geet took it tied in her hand like a bracelet. Her heart bleeded doing that. These were so many reasons she did not want to come to Mumbai… She was so happy in world of her Maan and Maa… their sweet little world. She was so missing him badly and he had not called her today.
Geet later placed a plastic face and met the old circle. Her Dad proudly making her part of everyone and introducing her especially to all high class bachelors who were son of businessman of his class or few even taking business lead. Some carrying attitude, yet trying to get her attention and some becoming friendly and showing charm. Geet was the most beautiful one, center of charm and most wanted, whole sole successor of HANDA Group. Geet just ignored them all, madly waiting for call from her darling Hubby, who she knew will not call her today as it was too late.
