Personally, after knowing his antics, I am just frustrated with the character and perplexed too. The first promos of the show never appealed to me ..in fact put me off big time. Never know this to be Gul product till the Aryan promo came out. Now, when I deliberately go through some of the Aditya- Imlie vms, I am honestly confused..here is a lovey dovey couple, good actors pouring in earnest emotions..and yet all comes undone. Where did it go horribly wrong? Wasn't there red herrings from the start? Or was Imlie viewing everything with the wrong shades? You mentioned that Aditya was flawed earlier too..so his narcissism did come through from the start? I know ITV characters can definitely go for a nosedive. In fact , my very first fan girling show, Ek Mutti Aasman with Ashish Choudhary's foray into TV had left a sour taste with his character Raghav becoming a moron at the end. Funfact: Anu..Malini's mom here was Raghavs mum in EMA..and she was mainly responsible for Raghav falling off the pedestal. 🤪So, when I saw her here, I was Damn, yahaan bhi

Yup the red warning flags were always present.

When he got married to Imlie even though it was a forced one, he should had some kind of respect for her. But nope, he went and dropped her outside a hostel and said never to try to contact him. She was 18 year old girl, one who hasn't stepped a foot outside of her village till that day.

Then someone from her village had come following her and saw that Aditya had washed his hands off her but when he was forcing her to go back with him, Aditya came and fought with that fellow. I was like yes, but then he took her to his house technically her house too and made her a servant there.

Forced her for work as a servant in that house. Forced her to watch himself getting married to someone else. Forced her to accept her reality. And when she did accept everything, he suddenly fell for her. And forced that love on her even though he was married to someone else (a person with whom he had been in 'love' with for 7 years).

And so so so many other things.

They have preshot the PD scenes. Coz I think after Aditya comes from there, the new face would come in.

Why do you say..."failed by her parents twice"..as in forcefully marrying her off? Wasn't Imlie's mum cheated? Surprised that she would push her daughter into a loveless marriage..

Imlie's mom isn't to be blamed, I think. She herself has to live in that village. It was her grandmother behind all this forced wedding drama.

That's more common for people who feel something for the other but don't know themselves. It's like their eyes do all the talking for them.

So the constant eye-contacts.

I think her parents, especially SK, failed her by validating the forced marriage at all

By the time Satyakaam got to know about her wedding, she was already out of the village. And Imlie was very scared for Aditya once she started living in his house thinking what will her Dadda do to her reluctant husband once he comes to know her reality.

Pari was SK's adopted son and Imlie's childhood bestfriend. Aditya was so jealous of him coz even though he didn't want Imlie at that point of time, he wasn't ready to see her with someone else.

And that really caught imlie off guard as many here has mentioned that there's nothing that will stop imlie falling for him except her obligation towards BS

By that Dil comment I would like to think that Narmada wanted to say that he's quite good at heart but is reluctant to show that or shows that he's closed off to everyone else other than his fam but he's started caring for her in a fam kinda way.

Remember about imlie's first article he wanted to go to offices where imlie thought about a different aspect. He doesn't wanted to accept that what imlie is saying its right. He think if a male boss is priorities a lady employee then he has a bad mentality to sleep with her. An intern how much he or she is good in her work doesn't matter their work should be on 6th page because they are not Senior. Even though they are working better tgan Senior. He started loving imlie because he enjoyed the authority over her. Thats why he hates aryan as he is helping her to be independent truely.

I agree with you completely.

Earlier he had a problem with her because she was a village girl. Just because someone is from village doesn't make them any else than everyone living in cities.

She didn't chose to be there. Those where the circumstances she was born in.

In India specifically, people think of villagers in a bad light. Those are the people who toil day and night. Working bare hand and for what. Making sure that not just the whole nation but a world full of people could eat food. Basically they are farmers most of the times.

And I would like to add something else. I come from a big joint family. My father is 1 one 5 brothers. We are also from a family where we have a lot land in village and grow things. 4 of the brothers including father shifted of to the village. My eldest uncle left his government job (executive engineer) to work on our lands to provide for the whole family. He was the eldest, his siblings were still very young.

It's because of his sacrifice my family is living life king-sized. My father became bureaucrat. I am a doctor. But still the extended family tends to look down upon my eldest uncle. And for what? Because of his sacrifice that the family could grow and his brothers become educated like him.
