From a story standpoint, the makers wanted to establish him, but GM is such a rage that they had to discredit Aditya's character build up to position Aryan Singh Rathore. I on the other hand disagree with the same.

Aryan has been established as someone who is like Krishna's saying, if to establish Dharma I have to bend my morals and do wrong then that is also called Dharma. Aryan is like that. He can indulge in low key shady stuff to ensure that the right never fail. Which we saw with the illegal fight club. From a family perspective, Aryan is devoted to the needs of his mother and sister, no matter how aloof he is emotionally. He isn't clueless. He cares deeply, which is the 1st point of contrast.

Aryan does not indulge in preaching or idealism. He is curt and to the point and follows through. Aditya talks a lot, and Imlie fell for this baaton ke babaseer. To be honest, Aryan is loosely like Satyakaam. His actions speak, even if he chooses not to. 2nd point of contrast.

Aryan is a businessman and Aditya is a journalist. Both their work involves reading people and being insightful of the same. Aryan who perceives Imlie as jungli took max 2-3 instances to understand that Imlie is bright. Aditya on the other hand had to take a couple of months to understand Imlie's academic brilliance. Aditya has zero situational reading to be honest. Professionally he is a journalist, but behaviorally he does media trials of people, where he is the judge and jury, and other perspectives and perceptions are blocked out. 3rd PoC.

From a victim angle, Aditya was a victim of gunpoint marriage and Aryan is a victim of an untimely horrible death in his family and the impact. But what makes him different is he did not project this onto Imlie as she is related to Aditya. Instead he empathized with Imlie for the pain Aditya has put her through. The pain bond. Something similar with Aditya and Imlie with this marriage. But instead he made it all about himself, Imlie was made to look like a perpetrator, and empathy is something Aditya never had.

Finally, decision making capabilities. Serious contrast. Aryan gives Imlie the choices and allows her to choose. Aditya in a roundabout fashion puts the onus on Imlie to decide, so that he doesn't have to. That is where it all comes down to

Servant vs Tenant

Saamuhik torture AdiNi 1st wedding vs AdiNi sidelined in their own 2nd wedding 🤣

Constant upliftment and self sufficiency lessons vs Constant gaslighting and blame game

Treatment as an adult and individual vs treatment as a teenager as per convenience

Empathy vs Apathy

That is my two cents. Feel free to comment ladies 😊

Very well analyzed and I agree with everything that you said. I'm in favor of Aryan over Aditya too.

On a side note: kind of a general/broader question that may be beyond the scope of this thread.

@bold : is being 'allowed' to choose really autonomy? Not just in ITV context, but even generally in real life... How do people feel about that? Like for example being 'allowed' to work, 'allowed' to wear certain kinds of clothes etc etc...

This may be beyond the scope of this thread, but just penned down my thoughts anyway.

Like she helped shatter one of the biggest worry of Aryan. His sister's fear.

I'll pick this...

In a patriarchal society this could have 2 interpretation

#1 the man "allows" because he thinks the women in his life are independent and capable to make their choices

#2 the man "allows" because he enjoys the control over the women in his life.

We know which is the healthy option, and up until now what we've seen of Aryan we're more inclined to believe he's the #1 kind.

This is it for everybody's reference... looks new to me since I haven't seen her in that suit before but before i start screaming (because we have established that they have a bank of epis since Gash left on the 5th) I need someone to tell me whether I am right or wrong.

Yes, it seems like you said in this context. However, why does someone need to 'allow' anyone whose an adult to do what they want is the question. Anyways let's not get into that right now....maybe for another day... 😊

I am 100% sure she hasn't worn this after ASR's entry on an episode that has been aired. So either very old or upcoming (someone give me definite answer a scream is bubbling inside me 🤪)
