Yes sums up about the neck scene it was all about how he's not sure if and how to move forward with his pheelings as he's been aware of them (most prominent during hair stroking Lori time) because of her trauma and his trauma as well but she assured him with her trust...
Infact I'll go a step ahead here to say that she seeked him out, and made him commit and the hurt part may also indicate that his pheelings might come out when she is in pain/danger...
