Yes he uses his mother's name , it was mentioned in the episode in which His mother got into an accident and Dr.Sinha saved her .

Pehle uski mother ne Apne husband Ko bulana chhaha kiuki unhe kuch yaad nahi tha uss time pe toh uss samay Dr.Sinha ne unke husband ka Naam recognise karke Jo Naam bola tha usme Sathe surname nahi tha wo Abhay ke uss room me aane par usne bola tha ki unka indono se koi relation nahi hai aur unke ex-husband ki yeha koi jarurat nahi hai .
