@bold: No, you are wrong. He was being the bigger person, who would have forgiven Imlie and took her back for her affair when she says she wants to be with him at the mandir. The way he is behaving, it is looking like, he was giving Imlie a chance to grovel and swear her love for him and he would have forgiven her for her short affair. And he will be the bigger man and forgive her and even ask Malini to go back to her house, so Imlie and he can get back together.
Edited to add: If Imlie had gone to the temple then I can so see a scene like Ashar telling Khirad, “I forgive you for your affair. I want us to be together again.”
I have pointed out this before too, when he got the divorce notice from Imlie, his only thought is that Imlie wants to move on with Aryan and that is why she is asking for divorce. When in reality, Imlie burned her MS and left his house, even before Aryan entered her life. He doesn’t think Imlie could have any other reason to ask for divorce other than Aryan. In his eyes, he is the perfect husband, there is no reason for his wife to leave him.
