As for the ring rasam, I don’t think it was traditionally done in my fam but some cousins have adopted it, it’s basically a game to see who will have dominance in the relationship. It’s supposed to be fun and usually spent playing hand-caressing and finding the ring together (“awe look at the cute couple”😆) but AdiNi just Anyway, I find it to be similar to how relatives playfully raise the bride or groom to make placing the var-mala difficult. Same effect

- Narmada and Arpita made this scene worth watching. I realized they were here for Imlie but hearing Arpita call it out and forbidding her mother from leaving is too cute. I love this family.

- I found the flash back of Aditya and Imlie's rasam alongside Aditya and Malini's to be gross. In my family we don't do this rasam so I don't know - is it considered bad to be so hell bent on winning over your new spouse? 🤔🤔

And honestly imlie is better off without this fight in her life!!!

@blue : I'll highlight about rasam - as far as I've seen this rasam in tv as well as real life... Its few moments to make the couple comfortable with eachother's touch (specially arranged marriage scenario)

Also it signifies the dynamics of relationship like who wins the rasam will have upper hand in the relationship.... So adi winning from malini was so wrong! But maybe because she was distracted

Aryan's "I have bad vibes here" killed me. This was such a dumb line but he was so serious about the entire thing. I need more of this from him, but with Imlie making fun of him and imitating him. Hopefully in the future. But that can be a super cute and short scene.

Pre-cap big oof- I can't with another Imlie and Aditya conversation. He won't believe her, will still call her characterless, and she will still pine for him.

The literal best thing these makers can do is that right before Imlie and Aryan leave, Imlie turns around and says "Bye jija ji" and call it a day. Would killll for that.

This entire thing is so gross to begin with the above can't even begin to put a damper on things.

2. Stopping imlie from eating mirchi as it was such a stupid thing to do (he already showed it's not worth time to be instigated by adi's silly antics before)

And thank you for explaining on the rasam. I just found it weird how Aditya and Imlie both fought so hard. They didn't look like they were having fun or bonding. In contrast, here you have Aditya winning and giving the ring to Malini. Which is actually kind of nice. I know the reason is his disinterest but still.
