The first episode of Abhalachi Maya was not great, despite beloved and new actors all making sincere efforts. The sister pretending to be hurt just to call her brother was nonsensical, and the assault jokes at the servant's expense were cringeworthy unfunny.

It's amusing that Rohit Haldikar is again playing a lecherous character whose target is the sister of Ashok Phaldesai's character, as on Jiv Jhala Yeda Pisa. At least, this time the lecher has a reason (she's his māme-bahīṇa) to want marriage instead of a more disreputable conquest.

Why is Jayadev trying to get Ambu married? Why not find her some friends other than Devī Āī so that she can learn some social skills? Is Jayadev married, or separated, or a widower, or a grieving boyfriend, or (please, let's see some diversity) gay, or ...? How old is he supposed to be? Three times elected means minimum age what? Probably not early thirties if his grandmother is as young as Chhaya Sangavkar looks.

एक बाई ला तिची सासू आणि इतर बायका खूप जाच करतात आणि टोचून बोलतात कारण तिला बाळ होत नसते म्हणून.

Episode च्या शेवटी गजानन महाराज हे उष्ट्या पत्रावळी वर जेवतात असा scene होता.

पण हे सगळं सांगायचं कारण म्हणजे, याच्या नंतर त्या नंदिनी सिरीयल च title track दाखवल, एकदा सोडून दोनदा की तीनदा.

बापरे, इतका भयंकर मी आज पर्यंत कधीही बघितला नव्हता. अतिरेक आहे.

हिच्या तोंडून साप काय येतो, तो तिच्या तोंडून परत बाहेर येतो.अतिशय वाईट vfx, अतिशय भयानक.

मी तर माझ्या आईला सक्त ताकीदच दिली काल, की हे असले भयंकर आणि nonsense serials बघशील तर खबरदार....

गजानन महाराज च्या सिरीयल मधे main role प्ले करणारा माणूस हो तो मनोहर आहे.( तुम्ही कोणी बघत आहेत का ही सिरीयल??).

Miss मानसी च्या office मधला. पाहीले न मी तुला वाला.

आणि त्या सिरीयल मधल्या त्या आ....निकेत च्या आईचा म्हणजे वर्षा तांदळे यांचा accident झाला आहे. Leg and spine injury झाली आहे.

त्या teacher आहेत खऱ्या, म्हणून काल महापौर किशोरी पेडणेकर यांनी तिची घरी जाऊन भेट घेतली.

Apart from its regressive portrayal of a woman being domestically abused in public without anyone including her Sarpanch nephew suggesting that she doesn't have to live with her abusers in fear of life and limb, Abhalachi Maya suffers from absurdities of chronology.

In the first episode, Jayadev was invited out of town to receive an award on Friday, which never happened. How many days pass between one scene and the next? One moment, Rangarav suggests a lāṭhī-kāṭhī challenge, and in the very next scene, everyone is gathered for a public spectacle that would have been planned for weeks. One moment, Hirabai remembers that she never offered Ambika's weight in flowers, and in the next scene, the flowers have been procured and the scales are set up!

The photograph of Jayadev and Ambika's dead parents shows them to be over 40 years old. If they died when Ambika was young enough to need breastfeeding by her paternal aunt Sarasvati, who looks hardly 40 years old now, why did this rural couple have both children so late in life? How old is the grandmother, Mahipat's and Sarasvati's mother Hirabai - 80ish, if her son was 40+ about 20 years ago? The actress Chhaya Sangavkar playing Hirabai is said to be 58 years old. As an aside, how can Raghav propose marriage to a child that was breastfed by his own mother? Even for permitted cousins, that should feel incestuous!

Now they're passing out invitations to celebrate Ambika's pahilaṃ nahāṇaṃ - her menarche, after several attempts to arrange her marriage. How are her guardians not in jail? The actress Dakshata Joil playing Ambika is said to be 23 years old, but is the character supposed to be between 9 and 16 years old? Ambika's friends are boys of school age, but is she finished with school herself? Her love interest Shekhar is a bank manager!

Jayadev has been elected Sarpanch three times, including this year, and it would be illegal to get elected to Panchayat before the age of 21, so he has to be at least 31 years old. In flashbacks, however, he's maybe 5 or 6 years older than Ambika at most.

From a show that has characters worrying about astrology constantly, I would expect more attention to chronology!

सुंदरी आणि आभाळाची माया.

अगदीच बालिश आहेत..

'सुंदरी' मध्ये तो आपला dr सुयश पटवर्धन म्हणजे आशय कुलकर्णी आहे. हा पठया खूप पुढे जाईल असा वाटतं, याला एक मागोमाग एक काम मिळत आहेत.

याची theme इतकी बेकार आहे ना.

आणि ती FL तर इतकी कडकी आणि काहीच attractivness नाहीये तिच्यात.👎🏼

'आभाळाची माया'...बापरे...काय तो दाढीवला...

त्याला कोणी actor केला?

काहीच येत नाही रे या लोकांना..त्याची ती बहीण..

7वी किंवा 8 वित वाटते इतकी लहान चणींची आहे.

आणि हो, त्या 'नंदिनी' serial चा प्रोमो पाहिला. भयंकर.......भयानक, आणि कहर आहे.

सापशिडी च्या पटवरचा साप/नाग त्या पटावर पडलेली अंगठी जिवंत होऊन गिळून टाकतो...असा महा भयंकर होता.

काय ते vfx, आणि काय ते कलाकार😡

Abhalachi Maya's story of tricking a woman into marriage by putting a maṅgalasūtra in a garland is really disappointing. I accept that there are superstitious people in the world, and it's artistic freedom to tell distasteful stories in which men scheme to marry women by deceit. However, it is totally irresponsible to show everyone reacting with relief that Ambika isn't married to Raghav because Sarasvati took out the maṅgalasūtra secretly. It would have been more dramatic to show that the trick was accomplished, but let Ambika and others say that this is a mockery of marriage, not even accurate play-acting, let alone a valid ceremony.

If the characters all have up-to-date mobile phones, they cannot ignore the fact that they live in India where nonconsensual marriage is illegal. Everyone who doesn't live under a rock, especially Ambika's brother Jayadev who is elected to local government and sworn to uphold the law, should know enough to point out that a Hindu marriage ceremony of just dangling a maṅgalasūtra from someone's neck is only possible if that is the tradition of one of the parties contracting the marriage (and still, the marriage has to be consensual). Otherwise, the law follows the principle: pāṇi-grahaṇa-mantrāṇāṃ niṣṭhā syāt saptame pade; that is, a typical Hindu marriage ceremony includes hand-holding for saptapadī and is not complete until the seventh step has been taken.

Equally objectionable was the scene of Rangarav dragging his wife Sarasvati by her hair in a public place, promising to abuse her further at home, and not even her mother Hirabai says that Sarasvati doesn't have to go with him. When Rangarav was pulling on Sarasvati's maṅgalasūtra, she should have told him, let go so that I can snap it myself! Jayadev isn't just the law; he's prosperous enough that Sarasvati could live with him comfortably while taking legal action to claim her fair share of her husband's property. Yet he gave up defending his aunt, and all the men and women just stood there, not even saying aloud that help is available for domestic abuse. What good does it do to show a story like this on TV sets in rural Maharashtra? Shame!

Seems like Nobody is watching any of the show on this channel, it might meet the same end as Tara channel and Mi Marathi channel, anybody remember these channels ?

Mi Marathi I remember... But Tara I don't... Sun chya saglyach serials bakwas category madhe modtat... Nothing is appealing except perhaps Jau Nako Dur Baba
