The accident flashback was a major major hint. The first person flashback was for a reason. Also the driving licence incident. I don't think this was a sudden descision though just to make FaTejo again. FaTejo will happen regardless of Angad being dark. But rather than turning him negative they could have made him play cupid, we could have got some lighter scenes. But then drama is what brings trp so makes sense.

And him finding Fateh at Sharma’s with that Evil “kaise ho Fateh” and then laughing it off. There was evil there… and him always knowing too much about Tejo’s past was so odd, so he did his research well and came in with a plan.
