Yay caught up! 🄳

I have a thought regarding what Narmada's & Arpita's reactions will be seeing that Adi is Aparna's son. Do they also associate him with the destruction of their happy family?

As for costumes ... hmm, trying to think of SRK scenes that fit Aru šŸ˜†

Maybe SRK during Bole Chudiyaan? At the time he was a little uptight BUT then loosens up šŸ˜†

I'm guessing Adi can be Hrithik here LOL

I’m having another random thought - I finally watched Kabir Singh in its entirety today, and while I have issues with this film, it led me to think. Adi, while not physically abusive, definitely has spiraled. In the months leading up to now he’s been emotionally draining for Imlie and also parts emotionally abusive. He oscillates between wanting to care for her and wanting her to feel as shit as he does. This isn’t romantic at all … especially because there’s no growth since Adi is content simmering in his personal misery ( as an aside, I found the turn around for Kabir an afterthought in a film propelled by no verbal convo btwn the leads just kissing šŸ˜†and shocking imagery).

Also, I can’t help but feel annoyed (randomly so) by Radha/Rekha whatever the badi bua’s name is (Rupi’s mom) bc she’s been made to represent the viewpoint that all the responsibilities of a marriage fall on a woman’s head. She’s instigated Aparna against Imlie, slapped Imlie in misunderstanding, doubts Imlie first, and assumes Imlie should compromise or fix things single-handedly. She reminds me of those people that feel wanting or having expectations is selfish. To think of oneself is selfish. Iā€m honestly glad Imlie remembered Aryan’s words and tried to see her situation objectively. We can’t control what others do but we can control ourselves and make sure we don’t add any complications.

I totally agree. The relationship between Adi and Imlie at this point atleast, seems highly emotionally abusive. Even before that, his expectation that she put up with anything and everything including the abuse of others it just as problematic. The thing with abusive people is that even when they haven't started abusing you, you can see the signs that eventually it will start happening. The way Aditya views and treats the women in his life, namely Malini and Imlie, is very telling.

What I particularly loved about those words of Aryan that Imlie is that it is a classic therapist line: You can't control other's actions - You can only control your reactions. He straight up gave her therapy. His emotional intelligence is on point. And Imlie was in desperate need of hearing that advise.

makes me wonder how much self-help and therapy he needed after losing his brother-in-law 🄺

Tbh, before the accident they showed him as mischievous and openly loving so he’s been empathetic from the start. Considering how carefree with his emotions he was then - it must be stressful on his psyche to stay firm and unyielding.

Tangent: His toothy smile seemed surprising but I think there has been many instances where he couldn’t help but have a ghost of grin around Imlie. When she’s happy he’s content ā˜ŗļøšŸ„°

Ooooo!!! Arnav Singh Raizada

Miss that man and the show.

Would love to see ASR 2.0 and Imlie's love track if it turned out to be like Khushi-Arnav or Maan-Geet.

I know it's typical ITV esp. GUL style romance but I just kinda want to see a lot of light-hearted stuff with a jolt of reality and a pinch of other drama. ā¤ļø

Yes, fingers crossed..Let us hope Imlie has captured the moment and Imlie, Narmada and Arpita do charcha on Aryan's smile on the Rathore dining table, in Aryan's presence, teasing him, leaving him embarrassed..While the 3 ladies of his life have fun at his expense...LOL...

Generally I skip all scenes of Aditya, but I wanted to see if he accepts the prasad and he didn't and I somehow felt it was important.

I know my prediction is close to GHSP, I didn't add the ref as we can't bring in and discuss other shows here na...So prediction likhkar chod diya tha, without drawing parallels..I know a forced wedding will create trouble in the AryLie paradise, but what I was thinking kii Aryan just fills Imlie's maang and then they slowly ease into the idea of being married and give their consent willingly and they decide to wed on their own, without succumbing to pressure, they take a call to tie the knot as friends, with all the tham-jaam..As friends, with respect for each other, to honor one another they decide to marry and not by force..This will be loosely based on M and G's story and somehow I have always felt both Aryan and Imlie give a lot of their vibes.. And I am thinking AryLie's wedding/ partial wedding is the need of the hour for Imlie now, warna she will keep getting stuck deeper with the T family without a way out..
