I know one with whom I interact regularly and that guy is total a puppet of his wife. Funny is he is the only earning person in the family. Her husband is her job. Sometime I joke that she has GPS put in her hubby. But this is how she controls him, every minute even at work she keeps track of him. He happily let her do it. I find it ridiculous

Just catching up ... The forcible bigamy trick is so insulting to viewers' intelligence, and distasteful too. We got scenes of every family member protesting to Indumati in private, when Latika couldn't overhear, so they all thought Abhimanyu was really getting remarried and it was a ticket to prison, but suddenly they're all in on the trick. The veiled bride was clearly not Ashutosh - he's wearing more rings and his forearms are hairy! And they claim that they had to play a trick because Latika wasn't saying, "I love you!" But she had expressed her desire clearly; she wasn't in denial; Surekha even helped her to plan a special moment (ruined by this trick); so why not just let her talk to her husband without interrupting her? Why does the whole family have to be there? If the Jahagirdar family is as respectable as Indumati claims, they would bring Latika home quietly, with decorum. After all the talk of public embarrassment when the couple broke up, how can they even think of staging an "I love you" in public?

Abhimanyu breaking Latika's heart and laughing at her when she comes running is not cute. For a woman who has heard insults to her looks all her life, it would be so demoralizing to hear that her husband is unfaithful. It makes no sense that even Latika's own family thinks it's a joke and she'll get over it. I hated to hear Latika apologizing for "her mistake" after this cruel trick was played on her. When Abhimanyu kept quiet about his love, every day that Latika lived in that family, believing that she couldn't stay, was psychological torture for her. Latika forgave him for that without even addressing it, but when she wants to express love in her own way, she gets interrupted and goaded. I also hated that Latika said that love is for virtues, not looks, and Abhimanyu didn't remind her that she is his Sundara. This show seems to have forgotten its own message that a plus-sized woman can be proud of her body; she has a right to feel physically beautiful and desirable.

Whatever plot twist with Tulasa Atya's visit never happened, I wonder if it would have been as bad as this.

So, we are being led to believe that Kamini has been unceremoniously murdered by Aba Nimbalkar. The character was inconsistent and grating, but Poojaa Purandare did her best to bring her to life with every mannerism. I won't miss Kamini, but I hope the writers didn't just get rid of her because Abhimanyu and Latika got sorted out. They should take the story in a new direction and take care that any new female antagonist should make sense as a character, the way Daulat and Aba have believable motivations.

It's nice that Sajjan is still with us. And I love how Abhimanyu and Latika are behaving with each other now - touching each other gently and talking softly. Keep it up - we've waited long enough!

Why did the scene of Daulat strangling Indumati have a disclaimer against laiṅgika hiṃsā? Is the show prompting us to imagine that this murder was a sexual offense?

This show made sajjan and Daulat way more popular than the leads.

This one thing I didn't wanted to see.... Mami dying.... She would have taken a break like others and they would have got a replacement but making her die was horrible.... Me baghna sodla pan promos yet astat madhun so nazar jaatech... Atisha was good as Indu....

What have they done to this once beautiful show ? Very sad. I left watching this crap after Lati sent notice to Abhi. Sad that they wasted a different subject, good leads & beautiful chemistry between them and butchered the entire serial.

The actors who play Sajjan and Daulat are amazingly talented and dedicated, and Sameer Paranjape has repeatedly given credit to Hrishikesh Shelar in interviews. No matter which characters are more popular, it's all good for the show, so I don't think the makers are trying to ruin that on purpose.

Daulat tried to murder Abhimanyu before the original race date, and insisted on attacking him face-to-face against Aba's order. Daulat also tried to blow up the entire Jahagirdar family. So, Daulat has not just now been made totally evil. His violence was always out of control, and his not thinking of criminal liability was consistently pointed out by his parents. I am sure that Daulat's effectiveness as a villain to keep viewers watching is a big part of the reason that he (and the show) lasted this long, with only symbolic punishments.

Hrishikesh Shelar deserves praise; his facial expressions and body language were outstanding in that disturbingly graphic murder scene. The makers could have left the murder to our imagination for good taste, or they could have made it gory and exaggerated, but what they did had artistic merit: it was upsetting, tense, and tragic.

Today is Dattātreya Jayantī, which should have been a major celebration for Indu. I entered the holiday season fan fiction contest, thinking of this holiday and how Gangi could make an appearance. (The contest's organizers have informed me that stories on regional shows are not acceptable; but stories on Hindi TV show characters in another universe are acceptable.) If I write a fan fiction in which Indu is alive for her special holiday today, would anyone be interested in reading it?

I've been thinking that Latika should run for MLA against Aba Nimbalkar. Latika excels at planning and management, proposals and presentations, and she has ideas for improving opportunities even in neighbouring villages.

A while back, Bapu said that Latika could have become Collector or something, if he hadn't limited her opportunities.
