Yes he is (hopefully) thinking big.

But he should have acknowledged Sai's pain and just tell her that he is not a person to have a relationship outside their marriage. Just take her near and assure her. Even tell her he loves her! high time.

Shruti is 1000 times worse than Pakhi didi...the lady is in pain but can't share it with Sai, even when she knows that she is Virat's wife and is demanding answers, just wants to create MUs...instead threatening and cursing her, has all the time and patience in the world even in that pain state to talk nonsense but not cut call and call nurse...

And did Sai literally virtually punched her... I mean start of conversation was on bed and then by the end was rolling on the floor😆

So he is risking Sai's life anyways ..

If the same situation occurred in the early days of their marriage may be sai wouldn't have bothered.. Now that they both have come too far and almost on the verge of living like a normal spouses virat owes some answers to Sai.

Never...He never understood Sai is jealous and insecure of Pakhi's position in his life even after being in love with her ..however Sai even without being in love with him understood his jealousy towards not just Ajinkya but also to some extent Amey and Aniket ..She has always asked the right questions and this man has always served rubbish...Nothing has changed in a way honestly apart from Sai's feelings for him.

In this entire post there is just one thing regarding which I don't agree with you, and that is Virat not telling sai. Now, I can't exactly say that Virat is completely right in that matter, as he could at least tell Sai and clear her misunderstanding that he is not having an affair, which he isn't. But if he would have told Sai everything regarding it then he would make her an accomplice as you said.

He shouldn't have helped Shruti, but now he is. He is breaking the law, he is betraying his nation, and he is the one who should be punished. But if he told Sai about it, then even if she doesn't agree with him, but still she so much as looked the other way round and don't report him, she would be in as much trouble as Virat. And why should she get in trouble for something she never did?

So, right now, he should have told Sai at least a little just to clear her misunderstanding, but nothing more than that, regardless of how hurt she might get.
