Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan seems to be a hit with the French.
After receiving the title of 'Officer in the Order of Arts and Letters' earlier this year, he unveiled his wax statue at the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris on Monday morning.
The actor, who was dressed in a pair of black jacket and denims like his wax twin, was overwhelmed to see the mass hysteria outside the museum ahead of the unveiling ceremony.
He says: "Yes, it was absolutely marvellous and classy.
Seeing hundreds of French, Germans, and other Europeans thronging the streets and screaming 'Korbo, lorbo…' was so humbling and fantastic.
Karan (Johar), Putlu (Kaajal Anand) and my wife (Gauri) witnessed the hysteria.
They have more respect for me now. My wax figure is just next to Gandhiji and Jackie Chan's wax works. My father and son will be so proud of me."
