Bottom line is that Adi hasn't changed....he is exactly how he's always been - very principled and idealistic about his work. And that is all he's showing in his clashes with Imlie at work also.....the insecurity of ASR is one part of it but overall Adi ke stances are all principled about how he approaches journalism. While Imlie is revealing that it still really isn't about journalism for her.....lol she just wants to be jugaadu about whatever work she gets. I'd thought she had a natural affinity for journalism but now it's definitely seeming like she just copied Adi cuz he was the major influence in her life at that time. She doesn't feel the idealistic pull towards journalism that he does. For her, it's just a job and she's now viewing it from the business side of things cuz the current "influencer" of her life is a businessman😆.

So at this rate, I do wonder how long she will even last as a reporter....lol journalism jaisa profession would be too simple for a mahaan hasti like her who apparently single-handedly drives all sales of a newspaper she just joined 2 weeks back😆.... even journalism is not worthy of her talents....kuch aur badaa sochiye inke liye....direct politics mein hi ghuss kar PM ban jaayein😆.....campaign finance ke liye inke naye gehre dost toh honge hi who is like the johri who discovered the "true worth" of a heera like her😆
I agree with your point about Adi messing up how to articulate his point many times....but again, that is also nothing new.....Imlie is the one with a whole new attitude now and that would have been fine except for the way she randomly tries to act like a bechaari in between who supposedly gives a shit about how Adi is being treated by her naya dost😆

I agree with you imlie is a tarbooj. She did pick journalism because BBSB inspired her to take up the profession. And I wrote a whole essay about how her new attitude is the influence of SK's parting words. And now she is influenced by ASR, so she is speaking about profits and losses😆
Her current behavior aside, Imlie does have a natural affinity to journalism and the same idealistic pull that BBSB has; But right now what she is really looking for, from this internship is not an opportunity to learn true journalism but a means to survive. She considers herself lucky because she was able to get this internship in her field of interest. She has nothing to loose no matter what she is assigned. Because every task is an opportunity to prove herself. She cannot afford to be picky like BBSB.
All her ego aside, if she is fired, she is worried she will be out on streets. But BBSB has 10 years of solid reporting experience behind him. Any news paper would be lucky to have such a prestigious paktrakaar. He is not scared of what will happen if he refuses to work on an assignment.
BBSB openly speaks his mind while imlie simply panders. Another way to look at it is, BBSB is rigidly principled. He refuses to budge from his stance for anyone. While Imlie, though she has the same principles, is more flexible in her approach and has better people skills.
Even though like BBSB, she doesn't think much about the tasks she worked on, she justifies herself saying "koi kaam chota bada nai hota", "kisi ko toh kaam karna hoga" etc., Her basic attitude is make the best of whatever is thrown at you. And while she is operating in fear, she treats BBSB as her equal and preaches him about his "galti" of not working on the tasked assignment.
But under the tutelage of ASR, they are showing that reporting is an easy task that Imlie can perform without the needed qualifications and mentorship of field experts like Aditya/Editor saab. And baki tho there no dearth of people to inflate her ego. If BBSB points out this is not how it generally happens, he is jealous of her "professional" success. And someday he will realize his galti and apologize🤢
What she wants to hear from people around her is not criticism but the excessive praise that she is achieving things without any support of people around her. And BBSB refuses to praise her for doing well in tasks he thinks she should not be doing at all😆
