They can't do significant work outside HR at this stage because TCT charges steep fees. Most of the work starts when they free of Sony and are independent artists.
For example, most can't do regional work because the makers are unwilling to pay Sony's rates.
I know that for Bengal market as a fact.
Nihal is not an exclusive artist for Sony and can find work through his previous contract which may not want Sony's aggressive rates.

So the Idols were just promoting it because they had been asked to by TCT - maybe part of their contract.

When will this song release? May be it's just a tactic to grab attention of Arunitha's fans. Purposefully keeping her look surprise. Anyway all the best for them. But they didn't announce music director for this yet right?
