Cheating and Blame in ITV and Bollywood

"Really, Maa?"

The particular exchange between Ranveer and Mamta at the party really got me thinking to all the times I've seen on ITV and in Bollywood films, where the women end up being pitted against each other for a mistake a man makes. In this case, Mamta calls the other woman characterless, and lets Vikrant off the hook, saying it wasn't his fault. I really liked how Ranveer called her out on this thinking, how ignoring that Vikrant is also at fault was wrong. Much more at fault. Repeated mistakes become habits, like he said.

Makes me wonder if any other show has managed to at least talk about cheating in such a manner, because I've surely never seen it 😆 What do you guys think?

Indeed and it makes me believe that Ranveer would never do that to Suhaani in the future as he has this much clarity in his mind❤️

Nowadays day itv make cheating a normal things and they get such explanation why he /she did cheat and it not wrong like seriously

After listening Ranveer thoughts about vikarant affair it was such a refreshing change naa if that woman get in relationship with a married man and if she being called characterless so is that married man is also characterless

Itv give justifications ki woo bande ne isly cheating kuki uski life partner kam padhi likhi thi, woo ghar ke kamo mai busy rethi thi... She was not match of his husband

Sab jada gussa mujhe bepannah ke show mai aaya tha aditya and zoya ke partner ke cheating ka justification diya

Yash ne zoya ko isly cheating kuki woo woo lover too bani but friend nahi ban pani uske sath woo apne problem ko share nahi kar pta tha... I'mean come you did love marriage with that girl tum jante the ki woo immature hai usse duniya ki smjh Dari nahi too iska yee matlb nahi tume cheating ka license mil jata..... Marriage kiya hai too agr apka partner apki problem nahi smjh rahi too usse smjhane ki kosis karoge yaa phir ghar ke bhar dusri koi or search karne lagoge 😳

Yee samne wale person ki galti batane lagte.. Bhai mana wo person perfect nahi but iska matlb nahi tum cheat karoge ge....

Mamta really pissed my off by saying that, I mean that old school mentality is absurd! For too long, men have gotten away with this BS and its sickening. And the fact that ITV does this and think its okay, like nah, that's disgusting. It needs to change and hopefully, with the way Ranveer was like "really ma" will get to more peoples' ears and will echo, and his mentality will stay. Cause once a cheater, always a cheater, and we saw how chummy his father was being with the woman he was talking to. It's just sad that Mamta's generation was raised to believe in that way and because that generation is also these show makers, they continue to show this nonsense. The mindset has to change if they want the next gen to watch ITV, not to mention a lot of things of ITV needs to change. Also, the way people look at divorce needs to change as well, people eed to understand how a divorce can actually be more healthy for you than staying in a horrible sham of a marriage. maybe this show will help with that, maybe not, who knows, but one can hope

The scene with Mamta shed light on another bitter truth which is much in prevalence even in the real world and not just ITV or Bollywood - misogyny is not limited to the minds of men. All it takes is petty jealousy for women to turn against their fellow women. When it comes to cheating, both parties are equally at fault if they are willing participants irrespective of who cheats and who is getting cheated on and I felt glad to see that Ranveer holds an objective and unbiased view on this.

I just hope that in future they don't brush Vikrant's mistakes under the rug after Suhani becomes an Oberoi bahu who "reforms her sasurjee"🤪

Most definitely 👍🏼 I have seen so many old Bollywood films and ITV shows where the women are always hellbent on putting the other women down, and the man gets away with it. Ranveer’s stance was so refreshing to hear I still can’t believe it.

Suhani better not be like that 🤣
