It literally translates to noise dear but Aahat is used to usually describe even a faint sound or crinkling noise in an otherwise silent place... aawaz refers to a person talking and aahat falls under all other noise I believe.. so he probably recognizes its her even with her footsteps or knock on the door😛😛😛
