That is what MC is not required here. He is Imlie's husband. Anyone would get insecure of third party involvement, be it a man or a woman. Specially when they are having marital problems and one of them does not like the third person. There was no need to ghusao MC in the whole situation. Right now what is seen is Adi ji is getting manipulated by MC and isn't really insecure.
