I do think Anurag Basu, Bhatts blundered by launching this fanatic and Roshans made biggest mistake of their lives by giving a mainstream a list BB franchise film to her when no one else in Bollywood was giving her work in A list films. She just DID NOT deserve it.

She is too hateful. John also made Madras Cafe but did not spit venom against Tamils to promote his film. Kangana has been spitting venom against Punjabis, Sikhs and farmers for a year and will perhaps spit more venom just to promote Indira Gandhi biopic which she is also producing herself.

I feel Govt must rein her before she reopens all old wounds and spoils hardwork that Indian state and community leaders have done for over 30 years to bring peace and reconciliation between communities post 1980s.

Chamchagiri is not above social fabric and communal harmony of India.

I think to some extent she was following the media's take and regurgitating what was already out there. It was reported that some international Khalistani organisations had funded the protests and promoted it, as well as inciting people to raise the Sikh flag at the Red Fort on Republic Day and so on. The media reported about these Khalistani fringe elements. Barkha Dutt even interviewed a Punjabi lawyer who was part of the protests and he was trying to explain how Bhindranwala was relevant in the context of the farmers' protests and why he has some acceptance in Punjab but Barkha cut him off and didn't let him speak.

I was a bit disappointed to hear Kangana's speech on IGTV after she got the Padmashri award, where she patted herself on the back for taking on the Jihadis and Khalistanis to support the nation. She was so blindsided by this latest backflip by the government, ironically much like Indira was. I think she will channel it into the film. I do hope her film is very well-researched though. Kangana has been suppressing the dissenting voices via her social media for some time. I think this is also what the nation was conditioned to be like at one point, when Sikhs were killed in Indira Gandhi's name. At least, the Modi government has put ego aside and put an end to all this and conceded to the farmers. It's very much a farmers' issue, not a political one that it was made out to be.

LMFAO! Another one spreading falsehoods. Farmer protests were never funded by Khalistanis. It was not about Khalistan at all but 3 farm laws. And it is a mass movement in Punjab, Haryana, West UP, Rajasthan, among farmers which includes Hindus and Sikhs as well as farm workers, labourers, arthiyas of all castes and religions.

That lawyer is actually an actor called Deep Sidhu who just responded to question on Bhindranwale that Barkha asked him. He did not bring up Bhindranwale himself. And he explained context of history because initial movement in Punjab was by peasants against policies of Indira Govt. Not a separatist or militant movement. Punjab has had many peasant movements and protests earlier and even in last 2 decades. Deep Sidhu was trying to explain that though his choice of words was not prudent. Barkha is irrelevant and deliberately tried to derail farmer protest by asking questions on a non issue like Bhindranwale. Deep Sidhu is a wannabe who was a lawyer, became actor and later became aide of Sunny Deol and planned his Punjab campaign for BJP in 2019 polls. He worked for BJP earlier. And is still seen as an agent planted to derail protest. He has no ideology or skin in the game.

To ignore the nuances of history and whine about Khalistan all day was deviation tactic by majoritarian forces and pro BJP media, IT cell.

Kangana was not misled by media. She herself called random women Khalistani as well and labelled protestors terrorists even before R Day. She questioned nationalism of Diljit and Priyanka too. She called Rihanna and Greta Thunberg terrorist supporters as well.

She was toeing BJP line to call farmers secessionists and terrorists from last year itself when many BJP leaders also called farmers as ISI agents, Chinese agents, Jihadi, Naxals.

I pity anyone who believes so called reports of pro BJP media and rants of BJP IT cell and leaders.

Modi went back because he knew BJP would lose in Punjab, Haryana and West UP and had massive anger in Jats, rural population especially after Lakhimpur incident where a BJP minister's son Ashish Mishra drove his car crushing farmers on road. That incident was costing him UP, Punjab and Haryana polls.

Khalistan is a joke. Every house in Punjab and Haryana has stickers for farmer protest support. You think they are all Khalistanis? LMAO!

Rakesh Tikait is the one who rallied entire Jat community in this protest. Is he a Khalistani?

Kangana's film better be nuanced as she is handling a volatile subject. She has no right to incite hate against a community to promote her film.

Quite hypocritical how films on 1984 Sikh genocide are censored or banned but biopic on Indira is encouraged. Just as Gujarat riots ones are censored or banned but biopics on Modi are encouraged.

They're not all Khalistanis of course. @Bold: Interesting. Bhindranwala topic came up because one poster of his was spotted at the protest. Indians were brainwashed at some point to glorify Indira Gandhi and demonise the other side completely. I wouldn't be surprised if that was just a ploy for her to further crush democracy under the guise of stopping militancy or seperatism but the narrative was never set straight.

Well, the leaked Toolkit showed Rihanna's exact tweet planned in advance. Then after she tweeted, Diljit released a song about her. According to the Toolkit, the promotions were done by an international Khalistani organisation.

Yes, Congressis had been behind getting those 1984 films banned or censored. Both sides unfortunately had been complicit in bloodshed.

There's a reaction for every action, Kangu.

It is only a matter of time.

And I hope you are not strong enough to face the D-day.

How is RW allowing her to do a biopic on Indira😳 The last time they funded the movies were Accidental Prime Minister and Modi's biopic which trashed the Congress left, right and center. (And please don't say that her PH isn't being funded by RW, every twitter and IG post/story that she makes must be getting her atleast 2 rupees)

I guess she believes that India will eventually become another North Korea with Kim Modi Jong as Supreme leader and all illiterate ministers of BJP like yogi/pragya are future of India. Otherwise I don't see a reason why doesn't she fear a day when BJP won't remain in power...

Huh!??? Does NOT mean the lawyer or supporters were khalistanis...WTF! Just because it was the right wing media's take, doesn't make it the right one. The "media" = Arnab, Navika and the like who have really earned their stripes as spreaders of discredited fake news since the time the pandemic started, through the SSR tamasha and the farmers protests. This khalistani charge was no different.

Good luck expecting "research" from Kangana didi. She gets paid by the IT cell managers in power to spout this garbage. Ever so often of course she goes off script like this one time.

Her dog whistles are obvious and full of hatred. Jihadis = all Muslims and Khalistanis = all sikhs - who don't bootlick the current political dispensation.
