While the Maharashtra government is pulling the plug on cheerleaders, who dance in jazzy, skimpy clothes leaving the onlookers distracted, Preity Zinta has replaced her Mohali team's cheer girls as she thought they were not 'hot enough', says an insider.
"Preity said that her cheerleaders were not hot enough and that the team needed to be changed immediately. She was unhappy with the ones who were performing," the insider adds. "Within a very short time, she got all the members of her cheerleading squad replaced. Mohali now has new ones as attractions. Preity is very happy with this fresh bunch."
The new cheerleaders seem to be the talisman for Preity's Kings XI as they beat the Mumbai Indians first and more recently the Delhi Daredevils in their last match. It may be mentioned that Kings XI were humbled in their first two outings and desperately needed a win against the Mumbai side to stay alive in the tournament.
Preity's Indian Premier League (IPL) team includes Yuvraj Singh, Australian fast bowler Brett Lee, Sri Lankan star wicket keeper Kumar Sangakara, Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene, Irfan Pathan and Santhakumar Sreesanth to name a few.
