Is this acceptable behaviour in the name of mental health awareness?

First off, if Rubina and Jasmin were chided for mocking Rakhi, what Shamita did to a clearly anxiety ridden Afsana on National Television was downright disgusting. And if we're going to take a step towards mental health and women's safety, then she really needs a peg or two taken down this weekend.

The intimidation of "laga.... laga mujhpe case", the constant mocking and disgusted expressions is emotional abuse. How is she allowed to mock someone's mental health issues like that when she herself had an episode after which she apologised. While her brother in law has been slapped with cases, how much of respect would she have left if someone had turned around and said cases are a everyday thing in your household?

What if a self proclaimed sophisticated person like Shamita was having a meltdown? Would the house be having the same reaction? How about Neha? Jay?

She clearly doesn't have all her marbles. Is it entertaining? No. Is it mentally stable? Perhaps not. Are we saying it's okay for society to treat the undereducated and chest beating dramatic people with such disdain?

Honestly, Umar is exactly who society should be. Instead of hyping the problem, he has constantly strived to ease the tension. Whether it was with Simba when he had every fight to be pissed or now, he tried diffusing the tension unlike Shamita and Neha who ganged up on her.

Shame on you, Shamita Shetty. You're a bloody bully acting to be all pious when you're nothing but negative energy yourself. Disgusting.

Her punishment for this behavior?

Salman will celebrate and priase her on WKV.

She will only get more preferential treatment, more rigging, more cheating, more nepotism, more favoritism for this.

Not all of us are equal. We are the unwashed masses. These elites are above us. They neither have to follow rule of law nor of basic humanity.

This is an unpopular opinion but I want to say Shamita is this season's Jasmin not Teja.

The only thing they don't have in common is the baby talk Jasmin used to do to act cute.

Everything else is a match.

> Extreme superiority complex

> They think they're the most moral/good hearted and look down on others

> Understanding game/playing task is at zero. If decisions don't go in their favor, there is an uproar

> Wants everyone to understand their mental problem but mocks others

> Bully behavior

> Sits at WKV like they are the queen of the world

> Favoritism from Bhai

Haven’t watched today’s episode and this is disgusting. Its clearly a situation of not knowing or being educated about the matter! Salman should handle this matter and actually talk about mental health awareness!

Mental issue or not, every individual has the right to reject that behaviour.

As much as a person is acting in the name of mental health or the lack of it. Doesn't mean the other person has to accept and surender to them. So psychos take advantage of this exact same thing. So not taking shit is okay.

In short Shamita or jai, they can react to Afsanas behaviour, for the sake of there own peace. If at all her so called friend and brother kk or umar could have helped her.

Every individual has the right to reject the behavior but not to provoke it more by responding in such a manner.

It is extremely taxing and difficult to deal with a person with mental issues but you do not need to call them mental or tell them they are acting repeatedly.

You do not like it, fine, tell them to stop it or go away or just do anything rather than provoking them more.

Shamita is the last person who should have reacted in this manner considering she had a breakdown in OTT and cussed out Nishant so horribly for a task. Khud ka jab panic attack hua tha tab sab kuch maaf and sab ko samjhna chahiye but jab kisi aur ka hua toh usko aise respond karo?

She should have more empathy and understanding to deal with this than what she did.

Umar was already helping Afsana out and he kept trying to keep everyone away from her, they did not want to crowd her so he was the only one who kept trying to calm her down.

See u r free to share your opinion but I will also like to highlight few points

1) First of all what was the cause of this anger ?? Please introspect .. it was not Shamita Shetty ... It was her own friends .. "so called " . Umar who backstabbed her .

2) I think you have not seen the Live footage ... Shamita kept quiet for a long period of time .. Afsana provoked her to a considerable extent ..

3) I agree wht Shamita said tht she is a mad women is wrong .. one should not pass this kind of comment .. but prior to tht if u please bring ur attention to wht Afsana was saying .. I will remove my own tshirt n then I have brothers outside ... N then knife thing .. Actually she was upset with her own set of friends .. but couldn't let out her anger on them .. so it was outbursted lyk this ...

4) once she realised tht she will be thrown out ... We evidently saw a change in her behaviour .. so my dear all these things have to kept in mind ...

See .. the difference is tht ppl are using this mental break down as Sympathy card ... Now I just have one question to ask .. if someone is on a verge of mental brk down or having anxiety can tht person immediately react normally when bb told u r evicted .. please tell me how she became normal ... I have seen ppl having anxiety disorders .. medications are needed but she suddenly became normal .... N even said I was not harming any one .. I may b wrong .. but I seriously feel she was doing this purposefully... To get attention ... But wht she got is eviction ... 😉

The episode is edited. What we see in 2 hours is 16+ hours worth of footage. How do you know that she was not calmed down before she was told to that she would evicted? There were 3 doctors around her trying to calm her down. Why bring them if BB is so sure that this is just a drama?

Infact why give her any medication which Akasa has also confirmed once she came out of the house?

Also, there is no SET pattern for how a person with mental health problem reacts - please do not push such a narrative anywhere, this is the first thing any psychiatrist will tell you - every person with mental health issue will react differently, no two people react in the same manner thus the reason why getting treatment or diagnosis is so difficult.

And theek hai, lemme go along with the opinion that yeh sab drama hai toh yeh sab triggering content KYUN dikha raha hai Bigg Boss?

You are telling me that you have seen people with anxiety disorder then tell me something - should content like this be shown? What kind of message are they giving out by calling her in post her self harm episode and shaming her? Does this not trigger people who have actual issues?

Should they have contestants who react this way? Should they allow the incident to escalate to such a point that another contestant can call the one who is having a breakdown as a mental person or tell them that they are acting? Is this the kind of thing that should be aired on national television in a country that already considers mental health a taboo?

Be it real or fake, whatever was shown was WRONG. It should not have been telecasted. The contestants should have been made aware if it was drama and even if they are not made aware, they should atleast be sensible with how they react because everything that lead upto whatever happened in the episode was extremely triggering and gives out a VERY wrong message regarding mental health.
