After I read your beautiful piece, I had to finish up somethings. But while I was doing that, I noticed the story was just stuck in my mind.. It made me curious to know more about Ram and Priya. As a couple but also individually. Their lives (past), friends and families.
I do not watch the show, but now I kind of want to.. and then.. I also don't want to.. I am afraid it will not live up to the expectation that I have now.. I can only say that I wish you will continue to write your version of these two.. It is the 2nd one I read and it is written in a very sweet peaceful gentle flow. Nothing heavy is going on, but you have described it so well. I do not know about others, but I wish I was there in the villa and enjoying the beautiful view.
You're right about the show. On and off, it drags and then turns stable. So can't be sure whether you will enjoy it or not, but thank you so much for still reading my pieces. I will be writing more on these two in the future, but for now, I have posted a shot today that you can check out. I'm sure we'd all want to be on that villa there, in the heart of nature.
I really like the way you build up your stories and add detail and flavor to it. The reader is sucked in, thinks along on what could come next and then... you throw in a little gentle twist as a surprise element.

Ram is such a romantic fellow, enjoying the rain. I have seen trailers of the show where she is mostly angry on him for some reason. From this story, Your Ram seems soft, kind, attentive and romantic to me.
Priya has learned to manage herself and the family situations from an early age onwards. He offers to drop her off. They both know she can manage but.. why not make use of the offer? I wonder about how she thinks and feels about Ram and his kindness. I mean, for someone so independent, it might be difficult to ask or accept just simple random acts of kindness.
Yes, Ram and Priya have both had difficult lives and yet, both of them are very simple in terms of expectations from relationships. If done well in the show, it will be sweet to see them grow as a couple.
It feels to me as if Ram has cared for others sincerely for so long, perhaps overcompensating to receive love back as well, that he is not so used of people doing something for him in return. Such as Priya's surprise..

Your previous OS made me wonder about his group of friends who ship them and care for them both. We all wondered what was their conversation all about. And now we see a glimpse of his family who do not seem to be too invested in Ram. Why is that? |
From whatever we've seen of the show so far, his step-family treats him like a money-making machine, and a scapegoat in matters where they can't speak up lest they tarnish their reputation.
That previous OS was from the viewpoint of friends.. this one gives us more insight of Ram's thought process.. Perhaps you will write from Priya's perspective next. What is going on in her mind through this all? What made her accept his invitation in the first place? She did not know it was his birthday then.. Something is pulling her towards him. Intriguing her, but what and why?
I may write something from Priya's perspective in the future, but there aren't any plans to continue this one.
The disappointment he tries to cover is not left unnoticed to Priya. She noticed all the conversations between the siblings and his mom, takes it in but does not respond. From their conversation I have understood that her life has been tough on her. She understands responsibilities, giving up dreams (I often say that we too in normal daily life have to push away our creativity from a young age on, especially when you have to choose your path of education/studies).
Priya is a very perceptive character and very straightforward. She doesn't have the unnecessary mahanta of the itv bahus.
Both miss at least a father figure. Not sure if there have been any pleasant childhood memories as well of parents. I find it interesting.. as our parents behavior and love influence our own behavior too. we often search unknowingly for what we admire or missed out on from our parents, and try and find that in a partner.
You're right! While Ram does have some fond memories of his father, Priya’s father is a major disappointment.
The part where Ram is in office, and you write from his perspective.. sending texts.. thinking how she would respond in the end.. is he in trouble now? will she be pissed off.. I could picture it.. Typical for some couples too.. And, it gives an idea too of the experiences he has had so far with his family and ex girlfriend. Her reaction was so refreshing for him. Just cool and chill. Maybe she has a temperament and this came as a surprise to him 😆

Priya's simple and beautiful gesture.. she cooked for him.. he is a foody.. homemade food!! this is the best gift ever.. the long intimate chat between them, is the cherry on the cake.. there is no hate, no love.. but understanding.. perhaps a (budding) friendship..
