He has done lead in Girl in the city2 and I think he was awarded for that also...even his pairing with Mithila was appreciated.And each actor craves to work under high profile PH like Kjo or Yrf...it's like a dream!!Working with high profile PH and having that in resume, does count...how much you argue!! Seeing his work in web series only...Deeya have contacted him to play SAAKK...so every bit counts....dear!!!

And tell me one thing...how are you so sure that his next project will be a sure shot hit???SAAKK clicked a lot bcoz of the chemistry besides fabulous acting of Devir.If next project he does on TV ....the pair might not click at all and can be a lull.He has done many TV shows also.. did any of them click or pairing got appreciation...NO!! So,...like u ...I can't come to conclusion that by doing cliche TV shows only ...he would get popularity...that's it!!!

For big shot kids they will get multiple opportunities for other people with talent, they will get 1 or 2 opportunities, to my understanding KV did got those chances, like launch in sadda adda, lead in zid, MV with Zee Music, ad films with big stars. How you utilize them defines the career forward, In one interview KV said he was guided wrongly by people because of which he made wrong choices like he avoided ITV as someone told him that he would be called a TV star. Erica did work in couple films, I watched her south indian movie, she realized she didn't click so came to ITV where she got huge response. Even Barun left for films, but when they didn't clicked he tried to come back with a IPKKAD-3 but it failed miserably .I don't know what he is doing after that. KV picked ITV very late in his career .. What I am trying to say is Its all choices..

What really pains a lot is when u see average to below average actors getting to do mvs webseries nd what not nd have huge popularity...eg erica, the ghum leads, uddariya lead, disha parmer🤢

Iska koi guarantee of course nahi hai.. Nd I agree to that... Entertainment industry is full of risks..

And SAAKK gained popularity due to the pairing warna is mein bhi shayad usey woh popularity na milta.. however well he enacted SS..

And m not saying that his prior works dnt count.. maine to prior works dkhi bhi nahi.. only heard of it.. of course every bit counts .. main sirf popularity ki baat kar rahi hoon and how it affects the stars irrespective of talent..

And one thing s .. YRF and dharma ...fine are top notch PH s but what is the use of a blink and miss role.? Impactful role I understand can be short and it's ok.

But in most of these .. like for eg blank.

Kv ka naam mention hi nahin tha when I searched for the movie... Then what s the use.?

U select top notch PH s .. it's ok.

But m just saying blink and miss roles in movies under top notch PH s should not be a priority if he can have really good scripted roles whre he has a lot of importance and priority.. that s all m saying.

Even some not so known PH come up wd good OTT s and certain low budget films..which leave a mark

Then of course it comes down to one's preference and the offers he has..

Barun recently picked up a lot of accolades for his role in Asur ..

Besides he always had offers but he was more OTT oriented and focussed on good scripts..

He did not do well in Bolly but ITV mein he had made such a mark that IPKKND still reruns on TV after a decade..

Besides he s doing a whole lot of good work in OTT under Alt Balaji and also MVs and he did some more previously too ..

He s on a roll..

KV s not yet considered for a lead role is what m saying that he needs popularity for.. just that.. m saying nothing else.. KV is a nuanced actor .. his popularity inspite of a decade in the industry s less..

He shud have picked ITV before . .. of course his decisions are the reasons too..

All said and done.. hope he really gets good lead roles in OTT .. whre he can actually prove his mettle..

Cause irrespective of popularity he s one of the most talented ones out there..

I totally agree with you, I am with you on not working with big PH for any kind of role, even if it is 5 min role if it leaves an impact and people remember you then it worth to take the risk, but from KV's previous choice of work selection I didn't get that feel. Even for Thursday movie, his name is not mentioned that much I am hearing Yami, Dimple, Neha etc .. I hope he has something to offer in that movie rather than just being used as eye candy or cast filler .. If you search for Thursday movie cast ..
