RPD if I remember is like individual set top boxes se data collect hota hai so no additional device is required for viewership data collection. But details itni pata nahi mujhe.

Maine abhi ek article padha which was 2018 ka article where it mentioned that Tata Sky is collecting RPD from a long time for this day. Now there are above 5 to 10 lakh STBs from where they collecting RPD probably because in 2018 itself it was 30,000.

Accha so it means RPD will replace this trp meter system hai na ?

Yeah it can replace meters. But then would it be opt in for everyone or opt out by default that would be interesting to know.

I am more excited to see how BARCs absence will affect the big GECs. Unko TRPs nahi milegi toh laise manage honge saare shows. Like will they consider hotstar viewership or SM viewership.

Matlab opt in would be ke people would have to choose to be in this programme by their will.

And opt out is by default people are in this programme and if they are concerned about their privacy or something they can choose not to be in this programme.

RPD matlb return path data .... Isme hota kya hai har set top boxes me ek expensive chip hoti hai jo data collect karke bhejti hai main body of measurement ko

But current set top boxes me yeh chip nhi hai so its very difficult procedure to implement
