I saw clips on twitter regarding this controversial rape comment. And I think that yes it was not a good analogy because people conveniently pick on the word and ignore the context.

So this is what happened .. when Afsana got mad about the person (Simba?) touching her chest to get the coconuts... someone, Im guessing Shamita said that since she has decided to hide the coconuts inside her jacket she should be able to deal with the repercussions coz people will try to get the coconuts out.. Easy for her to say coz she wasnt playing.. I would've really liked to see how she saved her coconuts IF she played.. anyway, in response to that statement Karan said that if a girl gets raped on the streets (for reasons that are not her fault like wearing short dresses or partying late in the night) then its not the girls fault.. This is what I understood.. Now it can be an inappropriate analogy but his words were twisted and ofcourse people like Pratik would only focus on the word rape and blow things out of proportion.
