I feel that people missing nuances of Punjab. The drugs abused in the movie were cocaine and heroin. All the drug users - Tommy Singh, Bauria, and Balli were victims. Tommy is plied by those around him to continue using drugs and glorifying them as it expands the market for drug use, but despite rampant drug use he is often lucid and thoughtful when sober and doesn't constantly crave the high. Bauria is kidnapped and forced into addiction so that she can be used in sexual slavery. And Balli is coerced by peer pressure. The movie also emphasizes the need for rehabilitation under proper medical care. Also, Bauria telling Tommy she's Mary Jane is a subtle joke people seem to have missed.

The problem with the NCB raids targeting Bollywood since last year

- marijuana and many psychedelics are non-habit-forming and non-damaging recreational drugs. They may even have therapeutical qualities. It is about time we legalized them. And until the '80s marijuana was legal in India.

- Addiction is a mental health issue. If people are doing drugs without it affecting their quality of daily life, it shouldn't; be anyone's business. If people are doing drugs in a self-damaging way they need rehabilitation not criminal inquiries. Stop going after civilians who do drugs and invest in mental health and drug rehabilitation resources instead.

- It is not unusual for authorities to go after users to get at dealers and cartels. BUT when an actual large shipment of narcotics was seized - it doesn't make sense to keep going after recreational end users instead of a source closer to the problem.

This is nothing but a publicity witch hunt to send a message to Bollywood that their star power no longer has any cache in the nation - to let them know who the boss really is.

Go to non fancy government schools in states like Bihar, UP, Punjab, etc. and you will find a bunch of kids doing drugs and plenty of small time to big time peddlers

But they would not be targeted by NCB. NCB mostly likes to target rich or famous. Gangs are another important thing for NCB.

It is so easy to get alcohol, tobacco and even drugs so easily in these hostels.

If authorities have called certain people to NCB office means there is some reason.......and some people start basing NCB people...really cant believe these people..........Its Big joke of the Year..👎🏼

People believing it's all right to keep citizens in prison without evidence don't seem to be aware the joke's on them. You've just signed a Faustian contract. Congratulations or something!😆
