Maybe I am wrong but what I read was that Pratik did not open the door or break the lock.

He was trying to break open the lock with kitchen knife, when Vidhi was in shower.

He managed to unscrew screws, but did not break the lock completely.

She confronted Pratik and told him she got scared with rattling noise outside the door when taking a shower.

Pratik apologize but kept justifying his actions to whole house saying he did not care who was inside the bathroom.

I saw a clip where he was telling Nishant that I was also scared when everyone was coming at me in task. 🤔
