hapc I couldn't find your original post (too lazy to go back lol) so tagging you here..here's what I feel in nutshell..
Pati ko ''fix'' karna type dialogues are OTT and inappropriate.. That's not even what she is doing so I understand people having objection with her loosely using those lines..and a lot of times she says that as a response to Raghav when he complains ''tum mujhe fix karna chahta hai..mein tumhara project hai'' and she's like yeah! coz that's what wives do but Im sure she doesn't mean changing him as a person.. the two things she wanted (and wants) him to quit are both kinda big issues, detrimental to his health and personal safety which is directly connected to the family that is dependent on him.. She is not asking him to work on his anger management..That would've been trying to change him.. she is not making him quit his protein shakes or his workaholism..that would've been interfering.. But this? The amount of alcohol he consumes on a daily basis is very concerning and as a wife its very natural to feel worried for him..Im glad that she took matters in her hand and is actually doing something about it instead of getting into arguments and emotional blackmailing. Someone has to take charge of the situation and make sure he is on the right track in this matter beginning with reducing consumption so its nice to see her allow him one glass everyday actually.. Amma has seen him like this, knows about his drinking addiction but she has not done anything about it and Im sure she will also want Pallavi to help Raghav quit his alcohol addiction or atleast have it under control.. I think it would be very odd to see a mother trying to stop her married son from drinking while the wife is standing on the side..
