This isn't how he should have punished himOriginally posted by: Bodhianveshika
Chalo maan liya thoda lamba kheench gaya. He could have reduced the severity or stopped him a day earlier.
The idea of a punishment is for people to realise their mistake. (Not that it made any difference now.)
So then what is an ideal punishment? Or should he be let to go off without an apology? ALL he asked was for Sid to apologise and leave.
Agar jail me jaana hi punishment hain to kal ko har koi kuch galat karega, jail jayega.
He should have waited for Col. Batra and Col. Batra could think of something
Neeyat sahi thi par tareeka galat tha
Aur tareeka galat ho toh neeyat kitni bhi sahi ho...hoti woh baat galat hi hai
Jail main jaana could be a restrain like having him in custody till Col. Batra comes in
What Karan did is wrong
No one in the name of punishment can snatch basic needs
He might have thought Sid might apologize
But what will that even be? A forced apology in desperate hunger...uska koi value hoga?
Aise toh sabhi sorry kehkar sab kardete
Sid's punishment should have been severe but not borderline torture
And food denial however wrong the crime is will always be an inexcusable punishment
