I sense that for a Arunita thread there has been an overdose of Pawan here for a while. All Arunita fans here voted for her to win and the main opponent was Pawan. So, those wounds for them do not heal despite Arunita's closeness to Pawan and the benefit she may derive from that relationship. Many here would rather see her sink if she can't swim on her own.

Pawan is a winner of Idol. He is very popular outside the world of Arunita lovers. Whenever the two are together there will be more focus on him for his popularity plus his achievement. So despite the limelight she gets in association with him it will still be dimmer, always.

But therein lies the problem. Much of Arunita's news also includes Pawan. Do we share such news here or do we not? You folks can answer that.

Personally, I'd not like to see a Pawan only image here even if it includes news about Arunita. The news about Arunita that fans want is her achievement. They can do without mixed success I think now that Idol is over.

Personally, I am disappointed with the turn of events for both Arunita and Pawan. I would have preferred them to work towards individual success even if it means high hurdles and failure. This way one is never sure who clicks or if they click only together. I suppose you could build a career as a duo but that requires another kind of fandom. The mainly active fan clubs left today are that kind of fandom. This thread is not that kind. It will die a death far quicker than expected if the trend continues and one by one all true Arunita only fans leave. It will be replaced by a Aru_PD fan club (one actually existed here). I think there is a need to start another one and leave this one to Arunita.

I agree that it is extremely important for both of them to have individual careers - many of us have mentioned that here earlier as well. That is the only way to sustainable long term success. One can only hope that in addition to Octopus, they are actively looking out for individual opportunities as well. Maybe (or rather, hopefully) Rosario will soon announce a spate of Kolkata concerts during the upcoming DP that have only Arunita as the singer. Or hopefully HR or some other music composer gets a song recorded by Arunita - with or without any other established singer.

Regarding the thread - the current Octopus thread can very well double up as PD-ArK thread for now. Or even the II12 All Contestants thread.

I think they will be together atleast, till this Octopus project. Then they should stay in Mumbai, after all the current line up of concerts - and definitely look for work 'individually'.
