Chapter 39: Kuch Kehna Hai

"Yeh dekho kon hai.." Sameer comes out holding hands and Samar-Pooja Maasa smile looking at the two and a visible confusion on Arjun's face is seen.

"Hii.." Sakshi greets her with a wide cheerful smile.
"Hello!" Shree and Chotu wave at her while Liza smiles cheerfully forwarding her hand. Ayesha just stands there with a acknowledging smile on her face, as subtle as she could keep it.
"Hii.." she greets everyone with a warm smile and soft handshake.
"Naam kya hai tumhara?" Liza asks as she bends over to make an easy eye-contact with her.
"Aarti!" she answers and continues to meet the rest.
Aarti Rathore: Ghar ki princess aur sab ki laadli, Samar-Pooja's daughter. 12 year old chirpy bubbly girl, who questions every possible thing. Supriya always supports her and patiently answers all her questions. She is never stopped from speaking her mind, hence at a young age she has built a voice of her own. Still a child at heart, but knows to differentiate between right and wrong.
"Aap soyi nahi Aarti?" Pooja questions once she meets everyone except Arjun.
"Woh main bhi sabse milna chahti thi." she replies and runs to Supriya. She engulfs her in a tight hug, making Pooja just nod her head with a smile carved on her face.
"Aapne kaakisa se zidd ki na?" Pooja again questions playfully and this time Aarti hides herself behind her daadi's pallu.
"Aree Aarti ko kuch mat kaho. Woh hum dono Sameer-Arjun se milne ke liye utsuk the. Issiliye neend hi nahi aayi." A middle aged woman comes out to defend her grandchild.
"Aap bhi na kaakisa!" Pooja shakes her head in disbelief.
Lakshmi Rathore: Supriya's sister-in-law a.k.a devrani. They were each others support and pillar for all these years, after their husbands died in a horrific road accident. She never became a mother, but she is much more than a mother to everyone in the house.
She cares for everyone in the family and her position in the family is the top-most.
When Supriya would work to make financial ends meet, Lakshmi would look after everyone. Both these strong women have been each other's pillar of strength since a very long time now.
Arjun walks upto Aarti taking slow and small steps, adoring the mature girl she has become. Aarti looks at him and rushes as fast as lightning gathering him in a tight hug. Arjun kneels down and hugs her in return.
"Chachu maine aapko bohot miss kiya." she spreads her hand wide open, gesturing how much she had missed him.
Arjun smiles and copies the same action, "Maine bhi!" and again she falls in his arms.
"Waise yeh tumhein mili kahan Sameer?" Maasa asks.
"Woh maasa hua yeh.."
✨✨Flashback✨✨
"Hadd hai!" Sameer came in frustrated and threw his gun on the bed and walked to his cupboard.
"Sameer yeh karta hai, Sameer woh karta hai. Ek toh pura thak chuka hun upar se sab ki complains." he imitated whilst setting all his clothes inside the cupboard. Hearing the sound of tingling anklets, he smirked and did everything cautiously, just to catch the little culprit.
Waiting for the person to approach he stood there busy in his work. And as soon as he realised she was close, he held her hand and turned around to take a look at the intruder.
"Aarti aap aise kyun andar aayi?" he left the hand upon seeing his niece standing in front, closing her eyes tight.
"Oh oh! Main toh aapko darane aayi thi. Lekin aap toh ek police officer hai na." she said and sat on the bed.
"Aur aap jaanti hai ek police officer ko darane ki saza kya hai?" Sameer asked in a playful voice.
"Kya?"
"Gudgudi." and Sameer started to tickle her. Hearing the laughter, Kaakisa who was standing out, came in to see what is happening.
"Kaakisa aap bahar kya kar rahi thi?" Sameer stopped whatever he was doing and rushed to greet her. She embraced him in a warm hug and with tearful eyes.
Sameer wiped her tears using the most famous phrase "Lakshmi.. I hate tears!" at which she smiled "Aise hi nautanki karte hai na bhai." he asked, knowing that in the house Samar's occassional phrases are very much prevalent. She nodded in a yes and the two shared a hug.
"Ab mujhe toh bhul gaye aap dono." Aarti complained coming in between the two and both of them shared a heart laugh.
"Aapko koi nahi bhula hai." He kneeled down and cupped her face. "Waise aapse milne ke liye aapke Arjun chachu neeche hi khade hai. Chale?" he asked, to which Aarti didn't respond.
Sameer noticed her taking time and couldn't refrain himself from asking, "Kya hua?"
"Woh mujhe nahi pehchante hai. Toh main unse kyun milun?" she sat in a corner sulking.
"Kissne kaha woh aapko nahi pehchaante?" Aarti looked at Sameer doubtful.
"Aap unke saamne jaao toh, woh aapko pehchaanenge bhi aur aapki taraf chote chote kadam leke bhi aayenge. Jab woh aisa kare, aap na unhe zor se hug karna." Sameer's confident words made Aarti smile.
Kaakisa looked at him surprised while Aarti decided to put it to test. "Sameer kya kar rahe ho? Itni guarantee ke saath bolne ki kya zaroorat thi?" she softly chided him for his overconfidence.
"Kaakisa aap tension mat lijiye. Jitne ache se main Arjun ko jaanta hun, koi nahi jaanta." saying so he took Aarti outside.

"Waah!" Sakshi pats Sameer's back proudly and he passes a sarcastic smile to everyone. Kakisa hugs Arjun lovingly and he too reciprocates in the same manner.
"Bohot sataya aapne hum sab ko." she complains and lightly slaps his cheek.
"Ouch!"
"Sorry sorry!" Kakisa caresses his cheek lovingly and Arjun winks at Maasa.
"Dekho bhai, apni kaakisa ko emotional kaise karte hai Arjun se seekho." she announces and Lakshmi cutely glares at him. Arjun again hugs her, chuckling at her naiveness.
"Sona nahi hai kya tum sab ko?" Sameer questions his juniors, who were enjoying the family moment quietly. They did not want to disturb anyone and did not even want to sleep. But when Sameer is there how can they be so careless about their routine!
Arjun too realises that they need to rest and chimes in to order "Dinner kar lo aur so jaao. Quick everyone!" Everyone's face sulk at this.
Maasa tries to defend them, but then Sameer tells her everything and she gets up to put down the plates on the table. "Maasa aap chodiye. Raat ho gayi hai aap so jaayiye." Sakshi says as she takes the plates from her hands.
"Haan maasa, hum kha lenge. Aap chinta mat kijiye." Liza assures her, and the two girls push her out of the kitchen. This leaves them with no job, and the disappointed family retire to their rooms, leaving a hungry team behind to fill their stomachs. They all sit together to have dinner, after which all take their medicines. This time no one dares to skip it.
A long flight and an even longer ride was more than enough to get everyone fast asleep. Thus all fall in deep sleep, while the darkness has just entered to linger over their heads a smile is spread across everyones lips.
Coming out of his private lab before dawn hits Melbourne, he takes off his PPE and his spectacles before going for a hot steaming bath. Having the most jaw-dropping physique and face-cut, he looks at himself in the mirror before getting inside. The pepper look was the most charming aspect of him, and could get n number of girls on his bed.
Dr. Ritesh Bharadwaj: A well known and reputed scientist in the city of Melbourne.
After the most relaxing and enjoyable bath, he comes out and starts to groom himself "Looking Good Ritesh Bharadwaj!" he compliments himself caressing his beard. "And a very good job. Jo tum paana chahte the woh aakhir kaar tumne paa hi liya."
"Wow sir.. matlab woh ready hai?" An excited voice asks and Ritesh turns to look at him. "Haan Subodh ready hai! Baaki kaam on-location jaake pura karna padega"
Subodh: Known as 'Subs' in Melbourne. Assistant to Ritesh and very close to him and his work.
Ritesh taking a brief pause continues "India jaane ki taiyaari kar. Jaldi! Yeh thofa toh mere pyaare Bharatwaasiyon ko jald se jald dena hoga. Hai na?" He slyly laughs and accompanying him is Subodh with his small chuckle.
Subodh takes out his mobile and informs Ritesh "Main Roger se kehke flight ki tickets kara deta hun." But before he could dial the number
Ritesh stops him "Ruk jaao Subodh." and he stops to gaze at him "10 saal baad jaa rahe hai.. dhamakedaar entry toh honi chahiye." he looks back at himself in the mirror and with a loud voice, "Ritesh Bharadwaj is BACK!!" he continues to laugh.
Agreeing with the most dreadful criminal, Subodh arranges what he is asked to do.
"Arrangements ho jaayega bhai! Aur aap itne khush honge na.." he proudly informs and an evil spark sets Ritesh's eyes on fire.
A chirpy beautiful morning in Jaipur makes everyone humm songs and dance to the tunes of the everyday music. "Itni achi subah!! Ahhhh.." Sakshi stretches herself getting up from the bed. Listening to her, Liza and Ayesha sit up straight.
"Bol aise rahi ho jaise bohot dino se soyi nahi." Sakshi narrows her gaze at Liza with an adorable pout "Soyi hun.. lekin aisi neend nahi aayi."
"Waah!!" Liza pats Sakshi's back mocking "Tum kaho toh Rathore sir se baat karein. ETF office ko Jaipur laate hai."
"Haan.." Sakshi continues fooling around with the joke.
"Haan!" Liza sarcastically imitates her and playfully hits her shoulder, both giggle.
Ayesha is sitting there looking at the two school girl like officers giggling early in the morning. She smiles and gets up from the bed to freshen up. But before she could enter the bathroom, Sakshi rushes inside with the speed of a train, leaving both Liza and Ayesha confused. They surprisingly gaze at each other and break out into laughter.
Hearing them Shree and Chotu place a knock on the door. "Come in!" says Ayesha, and both the boys first check the room.
"Kya kar rahe ho?" Liza asks.
"Nahi woh tum logon ne subah subah kya nasha kiya hai, humein bhi jaan na hai." Shree continues his search while Liza scrunches her eyebrows in anger.
"Haan aise kyun has rahe ho tum dono? Hua kya hai?" asks Chotu, looking at Liza get angry he had neither the will nor the dare to continue mocking.
Ayesha nods her head sarcastically listening to the changed sentence from his mouth. "Woh Sakshi aur usski harqatein." she replies.
"I knew it. Sakshi drugs leti hai na?" and all glare at Shree.
"Agar tumhein jhelne ke liye drugs le bhi le na woh, toh bhi kam pad sakta hai Specky!" Chotu and Ayesha both playfully hit their heads against the wall.
"Lo ab yeh dono shuru ho gaye!" Chotu rests his elbow on Ayesha's shoulder.
"Waah Chipkali.. galat kaamon ko aise justify karti ho?" Shree retorts back.
"Nahi. Lekin kyunki tum bina sar-per ki baat kar rahe the, maine bhi socha ki kar lun." she justifies as Shree huffs looking away.
She also looks away in frustration. Maasa had come up, along with the servant to give them coffee, and hearing her call them, all come back to their senses.
"Ji maasa.." reply Shree and Liza as the two go to open the door. Their hands brush against each other whilst opening the door but none of the two lets go off the door knob.
"Dono darwaza kholo. Aunty bahar hi khadi hai." Ayesha orders strictly and both oblige to it.
At the door Maasa greets Liza, and seeing Shree peep from behind the door she asks "Tum dono saath mein the kya?"
She presumed that these two frenemies are dating, and was more than happy rooting for them. Both choke on their breath and Chotu-Ayesha find it difficult to control their laughter. But one person couldn't control her laugh even in bathroom, and that is Sakshi. Her laugh not only echoed in the bathroom, but it could be heard even in the room.
"Good one Maasa." she applauds and Maasa catches it from everyone's faces that there is something going on.
"Nahi maasa aisa kuch nahi hai. Hum dono rivals hai aur aapne aisa sawal kiya toh issiliye inn sab ko hasi aa rahi hai." Shree justifies, unknown to the fact that his "rival" has fallen in love with him, and how!
But maasa gets a hint of the whole scenario as soon as her eyes fall on a crimson red Liza gazing at her in shock.
Supriya bites her tongue as she apologises "Sorry! Pata nahi tha mujhe. Woh kyunki tum dono ne darwaza khola, issiliye mujhe aisa laga." But all refuse to accept any such apology.
Shree holds her hand in his "Bade kabhi maafi nahi maangte. Khaaskar ek maa jisska dil itna saaf ho." he affectionately looks at her. Maasa hugs him in acknowledgement and even calls the others for a hug. By now Sakshi also comes out of the bathroom and joins the group hug.
Sameer was sitting in his babasa's study, a medium-sized library, where he spent the maximum amount of his time with him. A lot of memories were attached with that room and all had decided to neither renovate nor demolish the room. Always aiming to be like his father since childhood, Sameer was an exact replica of him. No one in the family was fond of studying, other than he and his father.
Supriya would always get annoyed by the number of books Dhamsingh would buy every month, and store in that room. Though she never liked books, for him she would always arrange it whenever she would find time. But Sameer was always fascinated by those. And till date she has kept her husband alive by keeping the room alive.
Ayesha comes there with her laptop as Sameer messaged all of them to do so. Others tricked Ayesha into going first so that there is some initiation in their story. Ayesha gulps saliva as she enters the study. She looks around to find no one except the books and Sameer.
Sameer looks at her come in "Ayesha sirf tum aayi ho! Baaki sab kahan hai?" He questions and Ayesha comes out of her thoughts.
"Sir unhone kaha woh yahin hai."
Sameer let a brief pause to think, "Aa jayenge. you take a seat!"
And Ayesha took a seat at a distance from Sameer. The spy gang, consisting of Chotu, Shree, Sakshi and Liza get disheartened on seeing them sit far away. They were peeping from the top of the window sill, as to know what the two will talk.
To break the silence Sameer starts first, "So Ayesha! Sab kaise hai? Khaaskar Liza, Uss incident ke baad?" his concern got a smile on her face, and anger on others face.
"Liza ne thoda time liya. But ab sab theek hai."
"Aur baaki sab?"
"They are also doing well sir. Koi problem nahi hai.!"
"Good!" a brief pause again and this time Ayesha asks
"Sir Arjun sir kaise hai? Bohot hi khoye khoye se the. Ab kaise hai?" All smack their heads, as they expected her to talk something different.
Sameer smiles "woh theek hai ab. As such koi problem tha nahi toh he is fine." he replies and again silence overtakes them.
"Aap kaise hai?" "Tum kaisi ho?" Both look at each other in shock. They didn't expect to ask each other the same question at the same moment.
"Theek!" Both reply with a smile. The juniors by now get frustrated and get down.
"Aap kaise hai?"--- Shree imitates,
"Tum kaisi ho?"--- Liza continues,
"Sab kaise hai?"--- Sakshi starts,
"Arjun sir kaise hai?"--- Chotu adds
"Ahhhh!!" All finish with their mocking session and decide to go to the study.
"Hi Sameer!" Sakshi sarcastically greets. "Hello!" he acknowledges and asks about their whereabouts "Kahan the itni der?"
"Sir, Arjun sir kahan hai?" Liza asks in order to divert the question, and even because Arjun had not joined them yet.
"Haan yeh kahan reh gaya?" he thinks to himself and when he realises where Arjun might be, he takes out his phone and calls him up, but no reply.
"Wow Arjun late hai." Sakshi teasingly states and all look at her disbelievingly.
"Woh so raha hoga. Sakshi tum usse utha do. Main jaunga toh.."
"Toh na aap honge yahan, na woh aayenge." Shree mutters to himself, being very sure of the fact that both can start a fight in such a situation.
Sameer notices him muttering to himself, "Kuch kaha Shree?"
"No nothing sir!" He states loudly.
"Jaao Sakshi!" all smirk, looking at her being so nervous.
"Main?" she looks at everyone for approval, and all nod their head approving the idea.
There are only 2 people, as of now, who can get involved with Arjun and come out safe, Sameer and Sakshi. Hence, no one dares to go on their behalf. If Sameer goes, there is a high chance of them getting into a tiff because of which he sends Sakshi.
But what did he know that Arjun can still get into attacking mode, which can lead to a very huge tiff. Sakshi takes slow steps to Sameer's room, where Arjun was still fast asleep. "Bappa bacha lena. Sote hue sher ko jaga rahi hun." and she peeps inside the room.
A worker had come up to serve a cup of chai and wake him, but he didn't
pay heed. Instead he asked for a 5 minute time extension, which he already is asking for the 12th time.
A prank gets cooked up in Sakshi's mind and she slowly moves towards the bedside. Gently taking Arjun's hand in hers she takes it towards the chai cup and dips his hand in the hot tea.
The burning sensation makes Arjun get up screaming loudly, audible enough to the whole house. Everyone who were discussing the case in the study freeze, and Sameer gets tensed for Sakshi. He leaves the discussion in middle and rushes towards the room hastily.
Sakshi quickly lets go off his hand and stands up. Arjun shoots high temperature glares at her and in a boiling rage he asks "Kya woh tum thi Sakshi?"
She gathers enough courage and stammering throughout the way she replies, "H-han.. S-sam-"
But before hearing the whole statement, he blasts at her. "Kya? Kya karne ki koshish kar rahi ho tum? Pehle kuch bolta nahi tha isska matlab yeh nahi ki mujhe kuch dikhta nahi tha. Tum kya karne ki koshish kar rahi ho aur kya karna chahti ho main ache se jaanta hun!"
Sakshi's eyes open wide. Never in the world did she imagine Arjun would talk so bluntly and arrogantly to her. She thought he had changed.
"Kya? Tum agar apne baba ki jagah uss office watchman ko de sakti ho toh very good. Tumhe lagta hoga sab tumhaari tarah honge, uss insaan ke chale jaane ke baad kissi aur ko woh jagah de dena. Lekin nahi miss Sakshi Anand main tumhaari tarah nahi hun. Naahi main kissiko Roshni ki jagah de sakta hun, naahi kissi ko lene dunga."
"Rawate!!" A loud roar from Sameer and Arjun gets quiet. Sameer rushes to Sakshi who stood there still and motionless, baffled by the accusations she just heard against herself.
Something like this could come from Arjun's mouth? She is still speechless. Does he really feel she is that shallow? Does he really think that her heart is some rental apartment where people live? She sat down on her knees, unable to take the weight of her own body.
"Hey Sakshi." Sameer sits there beside her, glaring angrily at Arjun. By then Ayesha-Liza reach to gather her in their arms. But as soon as she gets embraced by them, she slowly gets up. Wiping her tears she stands in front of him.
"Wow ACP Arjun Rawate itna kuch soch liya aapne? Nice!" Ayesha was about to stop Sakshi, but Sameer stopped her instead "Usse bolne do."
"You know Arjun tumhaari problem kya hai? Tumhe lagta hai ki saare dukh dard tumhari zindagi mein hai, aur kissike zindagi mein nahi." All stood there in shock, except Sameer.
"Kitne saalon se jaante the tum Roshni ko? 2,4.. theek hai 6 saal maximum rakh lete hai. Main Baba ko 20 saal se zyada jaanti thi. Unke accident ke baad, maine unki dekhbaal ki. Kaam kiya, paise kamaye taaki baba ka treatment kara sakun, unko theek kar sakun. Akele sab kiya maine without any complains. Padhai ki, unke profession ko apnaya taaki kaam karte samay unko apne paas mehsoos kar sakun. Celebrity journalist ban na chahti thi, lekin crime reporter ban gayi. Kyun?" Arjun had no words, he lowered his head in guilt.
"Agar Sikandar ko dhundna tumhara maqsat tha toh mera bhi tha. Warna tum aur yeh department heere moti se nahi bane the ki mujhe wapas aane ka shock chadta. Baba ka chehra aakhri baar bhi nahi dekh paayi main. Unki laash se lipatkar Rona bhi naseeb nahi hua mujhe. Aur tumne kitni aasaani se mera dard kam aanka na?
Aur rahi baat watchman kaka ki... Mujhe acha lagta hai unka khayal rakhna. Tum jaante ho iss bade se sheher mein woh akele rehte hai, bete ke hote hue bhi. Aur akelapan kya hota hai tum jaante ho na? Iss bade se sheher mein jab koi aapke saath baithke do pal baat kar le toh kitni raahat milti hai, tum nahi jaante. Kyunki jab koi tumse baat karna chahta hai, tum toh usse bhaga dete ho.
Aur haan kaka se jab baat karti hun issiliye nahi karti kyunki unko maine baba ki jagah di hai, balki issiliye karti hun kyunki kahi na kahi mera dard kam ho jata hai. Baba ko aakhri baar na dekhne ka dard, unse na milne ka dard, gale na lag paane ka dard aur most importantly unke marne ka dard." and she walks out leaving a room full of people speechless.
Ayesha, Liza, Chotu, Shree run behind a distressed Sakshi and Sameer walks out of the room without saying anything, leaving Arjun alone in the room to ponder over his words.
In the washroom Sakshi sits under the tap, crying her heart out. Ayesha lightly knocks on the door "Sakshi bahar aa jaao. Please. Kab tak andar baithogi?"
"Dekho hum jaante hai ki Arjun sir ne jo kaha bohot galat kaha. Aur na hum unhe punish bhi karenge. Please tum rona band karo Sakshi." Not only Liza, everyone's heart aches on hearing her cry.
"Ae Sakshi dekh na hum tere liye vada pav mangate hai."
"Aye Choteya yahan pe kahan milega? Aur tu kaise jaanta hai Sakshi ka favourite vada pav hai?" Shree questions Chotu to lighten the situation and get Sakshi out from the bathroom.
"Nahi tujhe jo pasand hai woh mangate hai. Par tu rona band kar." Chotu requests her.
A few seconds later they don't hear water flowing anymore and don't even hear voices from the bathroom. They all panic and start banging the door hardly. "Chotu darwaza tod do." Ayesha orders and when Chotu was about to break open the door, the door gets unlatched.
Seeing Sakshi in completely drenched state, all get shocked. The girls gather her in a tight hug, while Chotu closes the door and Shree arranges for a fresh towel.
Liza wraps Sakshi in the towel "Kya haalat bana rakhi hai apni Sakshi?" she lightly scolds her.
"Sakshi!!" Ayesha cups her face, looking directly into her eyes "Dard ho raha hai na?" she asks and Sakshi nods her head in positive.
"Maine kabhi Arjun se kaha ki Roshni ki jagah mujhe de do? Kya maine uss se kabhi kaha ki mujhse pyaar karo? Maine kuch nahi kaha. Main bas humesha usski khushi chahti thi aur aaj maine..." she sobs bitterly leaving her sentence incomplete. All hug her tightly, not minding her being drenched.
"Arjun aisa sochta hai mere baare mein.. ki main itni selfish hun. Aisa lagta hai usse?" she had asked such a question which no one knew answer to. What did Arjun think? Does he really hate Sakshi so much? If not, then why did he do this?
"Aur aaj maine usse hurt kar diya. Jiss se main itna pyaar karti hun, maine usse hurt kiya." she announced it feeling ashamed of herself. "Mera intention nahi tha usse hurt karne ka lekin pata nahi mujhe kya ho gaya."
All shed silent tears listening to her. Her selfless love for Arjun made everyone speechless. How could someone love a person so much and expect nothing in return? And looking at her being so shattered by the same love, made them believe in love a little less.
But a knock on the door, and they wipe off their tears and open the door, to a servant who came in with an order from Sameer. "Sameer aur Arjun sir Chotu-Shree-Ayesha ko neeche bula rahe hai. Puch taach ke liye jaana hai." he informs and leaves.
Ayesha gets up and looks at Chotu and Shree to go. They don't get ready to go, leaving Sakshi alone. "Liza hai yahan don't worry!" Ayesha assures the two.
"Mujhe unke saath koi kaam nahi karna!" Shree announces and all get shocked at his behaviour.
"Kya matlab hai Shree? Jo bhi hua usska asar kaam pe padna nahi chahiye! Sakshi bhi aisa nahi chahegi." Shree turns to look at Sakshi.
"Ayesha sahi keh rahi hai Shree. Kaam pe iss baat ka asar nahi padna chahiye." Sakshi states and Shree unwillingly agrees to go.
"Sirf tumhare kehne pe jaa raha hun." he huffs and the three leave to the parking lot.
During the ride, Shree constantly ignores Arjun and just gives all the details to Sameer. Sameer notices that, but keeps quiet as he too is angry at Arjun for his behaviour.
Ayesha is in a dilemma in this war of silence. She knows how guilty Arjun must be feeling and even knows how sad Sakshi is. But what should she do? She decides to hold on to her professionalism for now and doesn't think much about it.
They reached Mahinder Rajawat's house and were welcomed warmly by everyone. Holding the sword in the hand, Ayesha was extremely concious of the attention she was gathering. Mahinder had postponed all his meetings, and important works to royally welcome the team and their royal sword.
The moment Ayesha forwards the sword to Mahinder, he is left in tears. The sword was extremely close to him, and his family and it could be felt witnessing their reaction at the sight of the sword, though fake, which was unknown to them.
"Mahindar ji hum aapse kuch zaroori baat karna chahte hai, akele mein Agar aap ko aitraaz na ho toh." Sameer politely requests and Mahinder obliges to it.
They take a seat in his office and subtly take a look at the surroundings. Sameer, without mincing his words comes straight to the point "Shayad aapko yeh sunke dhakka lage, lekin aapko yeh baat batana humaara kartavya hai."
Mahinder shifts his gaze from Sameer to the rest of the members and notices a sense of despair on their faces. "Jo talwar hum Mumbai se yahan leke aaye hai , woh nakli hai. Asli talwaar kahan hai isska humein kuch pata nahi hai." Mahinder is speechless and shattered on hearing this.
"Aisa kaise ho sakta hai?" his PA asks on behalf of Mahinder.
"Kya aap iss nakli talwar ke baare mein jaante the?" Sameer asks intently, hoping to get some answers.
Mahinder who is still taking time to recover from the huge shock, refrains from replying to the question. This irritates Arjun and he in a sharp voice continues, "Agar aap kuch batana nahi chahte toh hum bhi aapki madad nahi kar sakte. Kya aap jaante the iss nakli talwaar ke baare mein?"
"Ji nahi yeh kuch nahi jaante. Kyunki talwaar aur ghar-kaarobar ki zimmedari inhone apne bade bete ko saunpi thi." PA answers to the question in order to refrain Mahinder's health from deteriorating.
"Ji inki tabiyat har waqt naasaz rehti hai, jisski wajah se inhone saari zimmedari apne bade bete ko saunpi thi. Lekin talwaar ke gayab hone ke baad, chote Malik bhi gayab hai." he adds.
"Jinse humne yeh talwar zapt ki hai, unhone bataya ki aapke bade bete iss talwar ko bechna chahte the." Arjun states and Mahinder's eyes are wide open in shock.
"Woh zaroor jhooth bol raha hoga. Anurag baba aisa kyun karenge? Unhe churane ki kya zaroorat hai jab talwar ke maalik wahi the." he replies and Mahinder too believes the same.
"Woh kahan gaye honge, kya aap jaante hai?" Ayesha asks as a last ray of hope.
"Ji nahi." he answers dejected, "Humne Chote Malik ko kayi baar call karne ki koshish ki, lekin koi jawab nahi mila."
"Mere bete ko bacha lo. Woh zaroor kissi musibat mein hai." cries of am anxious dad were heard in the office. He knew something was wrong in his son's life and that he was in problem. But how were the ETF going to find him?
"Ji aap chinta mat kijiye. Hum aapke bete ko dhundne ki puri koshish karenge. Aap bas humein unki tasveer dijiye" Shree assures Mahinder as no one else did it and takes a photo from P.A.
"Iss asli talwar ko aapke bete ne kahan rakha hoga kya aap jaante hai?" Arjun asks hoping to get a hint on the matter, but in vain. No one knew where did Anurag Rajawat, the heir of that family had kept the sword.
"Humein pehle yeh pata karna hoga ki Anurag kahan hai! Kyunki agar ussne talwar bechne ki koshish nahi ki toh phir ki kisne?" Sameer instructs as they all come out from the mansion.
"Aur shayad phir humein asli shaahi talwar ka bhi pata mil sakta hai." Ayesha suggests and the rest agree with her stance on the matter.
"Shree! Anurag ka last location check karo." Arjun orders and takes the incharge of the driver's seat. Shree finds out the location on the way back home and informs everyone. "Sir Anurag ka last location ek jungle dikha raha hai. Wahan woh kya kar raha hai?" he questions.
"Woh wahan chalne ke baad hi pata chalega Shree." Sameer replies. Arjun orders, "Directions dete raho Shree!" and Shree does as told.
Arjun parks the vehicle bit afar, and getting down all hopelessly gaze at the vast jungle in front of them. All look at Shree for directions. At first Shree did not realise as to why were they looking at him. But when he realises, he innocently gulps his saliva "Sir iss se zyaada nahi pata sakta main aapko. Sorry!"
They lower their heads in disappointment and head inside the jungle. Taking careful steps and noting every detail, they spread across the jungle.
After an intense search of 2 hours, they stand below a tree to take rest. "Shayad Anurag ko yahan se utha ke leke gaye honge. Aur usske paas jo nakli talwar thi usse asli samajhke bech diya hoga." Ayesha quips when Arjun notices something
"Nahi Ayesha, Anurag yahi kahin hai." and rushes to a big rock like structure. As they reach closer they realise it's an empty cave with carvings both on inside and outside.
When they go inside, they see a dead body being hovered by insects and hence they don't take steps ahead. They inform the local police station and Liza, Chotu and Sakshi too arrive at the location to seach for further evidence.
"Sir yeh toh Anurag ki laash hai." Ayesh identifies his body as she had seen his picture on the walls of Mahinder's office.
All are shocked upon seeing his dead body in such a horrendous place. "Yeh yahan karne kya aaya tha waise?" quips Sakshi and other try to stance various reasons.
"Kahin yeh yahan asli talwar toh chupane nahi aaya tha na?" Chotu asks being confused by the whole case.
"Lekin agar yeh talwar chupaane aaya tha aur kissine isse maar dala, phir unke haath asli talwar lagni chahiye thi. Nakli kahan se mili unhe?" Shree questions further.
"Toh agar yeh asli talwar chupaane nahi aaya tha, toh phir aaya kyun?" Ayesha gets irritated and sips on water.
"Sir yeh dekhiye!" Liza calls out loudly and all rush to her. She tries to move a rock, but it being heavy, she fails. Chotu takes over and sidelines the huge rock. The land beneath their feet slips and all they do is look at the sword kept in front of them.
"Asli talwar yahan hai?" Sameer quizzes as he takes out the sword.
"Dekhne se toh aise hi lagta hai." Arjun states and he too examines the sword to the best of his abilities. Liza clears her throat looking at her two seniors taking over her work.
They hand it over to her for testing and she packs it to forward it further to the lab. "Agar asli wala yahan hai, toh Jitesh nakli talwar Mumbai kyun leke aaya ?" Sakshi asks and SamJun gaze at her in support of her question.
"Yeh toh Rajawat's hi bata sakte hai ab toh." Arjun answers and all get ready to go back to the mansion.
Their again arrival sparked questions in the eyes of many. Mahinder came out of his bedroom to meet them. A ray of hope reflecting in his eyes he asks, "Anurag ka pata chala?" The team lower their head,
"Ji.. woh humein 20km door jungle ke ek kone mein Anurag ki laash mili hai." A remorseful Sameer answers slowly.
Everyone's heart just sank and screams and cries could be heard in the mansion. Anurag's wife was wailing in front of them. She couldn't withstand the fact that her husband was no longer with her.
"Apne aap ko sambhaliye please. Anurag ke kaatil ko pakadne ke liye humein aap sab ki madad ki zaroorat hai." Sakshi tries to comfort her. She knows its very insensitive of them but, as of now finding the culprit was important, both for them and the family.
"Ji kya puchna chahte hai aap?" A man in his early twenties comes forward to help them out. Ajit, younger brother of Anurag is completely shook by the news. But, he gathers himself for the family and stands up to answer, shielding the others just like Anurag would do.
"Humein ussi ilaake mein ek aur sone ki talwar mili. Shayad asli hai. Kya aap pata sakte hai ki do talwar wahan kya kar rahi thi?" Ayesha asks.
"Ji ghar mein jo talwar humnein rakhi thi, woh nakli thi. Kyunki bhaiya jaante the ki asli talwaar pe bohot saare logon ki nazar hai, unhone woh chupake rakhi thi. Aur usski jagah ghar mein nakli rakhi thi." he answers.
"Aur yeh baat aap sab jaante the?"
"Sab nahi, sirf main. Lekin yeh jagah kahan thi, jahan chupayi thi, main nahi jaanta tha."
"Hmmm.." all comprehend whatever he is talking.
"Bohot hi keemti talwar thi woh. Aur zaahir si baat hai ki ghar ke kayi sadsyon ki nazar bhi uss pe thi. Uss sone ke talwar pe kin kin ki nazar thi?" Arjun arrives straight to the point jolting up the whole family.
"Di ki!" he answers, with utmost disgust in his voice.
"Di?"
"Haan Geeta Di. Meri badi behen aur Anurag bhaiya ki choti behen." All intensify their gaze on Ajit "Unhe bohot problem thi bhaiya ko saara ghar-karobar saunpa jaane par. Aur woh yeh sab hadapna bhi chahti thi."
"Tumhari didi kahan hai filal?" Chotu asks.
"Woh filal U.K settled hai. Shaadi ke baad woh apne pati ke saath wahin settle ho gayi."
"Hmm.." Sameer realises that no more questions should be asked in such a trivial condition, and hence continues, "Postmortem ke turant baad aap Anurag ki body claim kar sakte hai." Ajit doesn't react and just lowers his head, hiding his tears.
"Documentation hote hi aapko aapki amanat lauta di jaayegi." Sameer informs before leaving the mansion with his team.
"Ji aap log mere bhaiya ke kaatil ka pata lagana." Ajit sniffles "Uss sone ke talwar se zyada, mere bhaiya keemti hai, aaj bhi." He leaves from there, to be the strength of his family.
Taking their seats in the car, they ponder over their own thoughts related to the case. "M.K ne kaha Anurag talwar chori chupke bechna chahta tha, Jabki usske paas puri liberty thi iss talwaar ko aaraam se bechne ki." Ayesha looks at both her seniors while stating the major doubt all had running across their minds.
"M.K ne ya toh humse jhooth kaha, ya usse kissi ne bevakoof banaya." Shree states pressing his smile amid his lips.
"Iss Geeta ka pata lagana padega. Shree usska background details nikalwao." Sameer orders.
"Kahin iss Geeta ne hi yeh sab toh nahi kiya?" Sakshi's doubt takes everyone by a thought.
"Nahi Sakshi!" Arjun immediately stopping the trail of thoughts, exclaims. Sameer narrows his eyes gazing at Arjun, he decides to ignore them and moves forward with his theory,
"Geeta yeh sab akele nahi kar sakti. Kissine usski madad zaroor ki hogi. Aur woh insaan ghar ka hi koi sadasya hai."
"Magar kon?." Liza questions
"Yeh humein pata lagana hoga.." All agree with Arjun when they hear Sameer adding "lekin kal."
All realise they are back home, and they need to stop discussing much about the same. The whole day slipped into investigation and all were drained out on energy as of now. Hungry stomachs started growling and sleepy eyes took over the active, energetic officers.
"Filal woh asli talwaar humaare paas hai, toh aage woh kuch plan tabhi karenge jab hum Rajawat's ko woh talwar saupenge." Arjun looks at all of them agreeing with him and gets down from the car.
The situation at home is not less than that of any festival. Decorative items hurdled all over the place, thaali's being taken down, Giving orders over the phone and few items being delivered already. All stand at the entrance, startled by looking at the arrangements.
"Maasa yeh kya ho raha hai?" Sameer asks.
"Tumhaari sagayi ki taiyaari!" Maasa replies and all shift their gazes back and forth, from Sameer to Maasa.
"Kya? Yeh kab decide hua?" Sameer asks frantically.
