It's like demanding an abusive relationship to continue because after all, it's a MARRIAGE ! Well hello, this is 21st Century, Sona is a doctor, she can do WAYYY better 😆. In real world, no girl's gonna put up with yrs of nonsense like this just for the sake of so called EL-O-Vee-Eee LOVE. 😆

I would like to ignore the term toxicity which you have used 🤣 I especially cannot take someone ,who thought Prerna and rishabh had a healthy relationship , seriously.

Handling drunken wife in the party too shows his concern

It is really embarrassing for any boss drunken wife opening up her insecurities in the crowd it can get out of the hands at times

He managed it well where as every one ( even me ) predicted Jatin would take her home 😅😅😅

I have never seen these so called viewers appreciate Dev for the work he is trying to put into the relationship. Agreed that some of his actions were questionable in the past, but I can clearly see signs of him reflecting upon those. If you guys want to omit those subtleties and just focus on his past , then that’s upto you. But don’t put yourself in the category of a general viewer because your opinion does not reflect the general opinion of the viewers at all.

When Dev does something really appreciable, then these "viewers" will appreciate him for it. Most of the members here are far more interested in the storyline and the characters rather than the actors. So it is not that they are blindly supporting one actor over the other. Also, most of the the viewers ( me included) loved Dev in S1 though he was a flawed character ( grey character as mentioned by Shaheer in one of his ivs at the start of S1). This season, Dev has been insensitive, uncaring & rude to Sonakshi, whom he professes to love so much, hence it is quite natural for the audience to feel sorry for Sonakshi who clearly loves Dev so much that she has been putting up with taunts, insults & rudeness from both Dev & Ishwari at the cost of her self respect. Her opinions & her rights as a mother have been ignored and Dev has never taken a stand for her whenever Ishwari has been taunting her on the issue of her motherhood or healthy eating habits or for whatever faults ( imaginary or not) she finds in Sona. Dev keeps on saying he loves her immensely but his actions speak otherwise. It is only in the past week or so, Dev has just started introspecting on his actions, and has started taking baby steps in taking corrective measures towards working on his marriage. With time, when he shows his love & concern for her with his actions (btw actions doesn't mean just romancing with her) and becomes a caring & supportive life partner to her, these "viewers" too will make appreciation posts for him.

Bold: Each member here/ viewers of the show (including you & me) constitute the general viewers and have their own opinions & perceptions about the characters shown in the show & express it in the forum. One may not agree to the opinions expressed but I think we are all mature enough to agree to disagree.

For people who are still stuck in the past and want to use that opportunity to sermonize, nothing I say will change your opinion because you guys have already decided to hate a character come what may.

But I really don't want any sort of enimity due to clashing opinions

Atleast you agreed that he is starting to self introspect. I really like the way you have put across your thoughts and I agree to a lot of them. But I won’t just criticize him and make presumption about him without watching the episode just like how many people over here are doing

See, you hv no answer to it. I want ppl to have answer why dev is good husband. Pranoy, Its not about hating dev. We want to see improve in character who respect n give due rights to sona. We don't want to see just ILU, hugs.. We need to move on from that. We want to see he is realising what sona going through. But looks like cvs won't ever show that. In this new track already all things normalised. When they will even make him realise. You know I am not teenager just to go gaga over devakshi's romance. If character growth is there, then those romance makes beautiful.

You need to discuss. Then only, we can understand different perspective..

If a relationship where the mother in law does not like the daughter in law is termed as toxic nowadays then marriages will cease to exist

He doesn't need to cut all ties with his mother, he needs to correct her firmly when she is wrong. He needs to take a stand for his wife when his wife is taunted, humiliated or insulted by his mother for no rhyme & reason. He needs to learn to balance his relationship with his mom & wife not just blindly listen to or act as per his mother's wishes or rather whims & fancies. Sonakshi is his life partner and it is his responsibility to respect her as a person and give her all her rights which is due to her as his wife & as the mother of his kids. In Ishwari's case, it is not a just case of mother in law disliking her daughter in law, it is her being the third person in their marriage. She keeps interfering in their private & personal space and takes decisions which is not hers to take. Dev needs to deal with her respectfully but firmly. If that doesn't work out & Ishwari isn't willing to acknowledge her boundaries as a mother in her married son's life, then a nuclear family would be the best option. Dev can look for a house close to the Dixit house so that they can keep visiting her on a daily or frequent basis & check on her well being & Ishwari too can come over & spend some time with her grandchildren whenever she wishes to.

We love Dev Dixit then and even now. But if he do mistakes, it's not easy to keep calm. When Sonakshi was not attentive towards Ayush, many compared her to Ishwari's elite version. When separat happened, people didn't sympathize Sonakshi but only Dev and she even received backlash for leaving Dev with Ishwari. And when Dev is doing mistakes, the same backlash he is recieving. If Sonakshi becomes insensitive in future, she also recieve backlash.

Hari we have both watched another infamous show where character development was never there. It’s was just senseless romance there as well 🤣..cvs have not at all brushed it under the rug. Dev has started to self introspect. If you watch the episodes you will understand. Just following WU won’t do any good as you are seeing a half painted picture.

As per the current track , the interference has certainly decreased ..so I will try judging the scenario as per the current status quo
