If anyone is ‘weak’, that's Raavi. She, as a character, never had any mental strength or understanding to begin with. Her only trait that makes her sunshine girl is her happiness, dream world and her kind-heartedness.
Shiva and Raavi’s tone with each other had been set in this show right from the word go!
The first scene between Raavi and Shiva is Raavi’s plain disgust and annoyance for Shiva’a existence while Shiva deliberately seeks her attention through his nastiness.
His world has revolved around her while she constantly hated his existence because of not only his hatred but his personality, demeanour and his existence. She would spray perfume around him and want to change his clothes. She always disliked and rebuked him for his physical appearance And always had A childlike Banter with Him. That Doesn't Make Her the wrong person, But Shiva Was always Not only The villain But a Hated object In her life.
Their tone was again set when Shiva would protect her from getting hurt, and she would misunderstand him instead.
Shiva isn't what she liked or wanted. She was the first one to reject him post marriage
: Tu mehekte tel ki Tarah hai, main saaf paani...
So, in short, the insecurity and inferiority complex is not a trait that's a person's fault but society at large.
Many women deal with such issues every day. Is it their fault? No, it's the fault of society.
If we reverse the genders, would we still not sympathise with Shiva.
‘Weak’-If Shiva is weak, then Gaumbi is No.1 Coward, Dev, a hypocrite, too!
I am sorry, but I wish someone told Raavi that it hurts not to be seen as someone not up to the mark.
Raavi may not be responsible for his misery, but she should stop self-inflicting a victim tag.
She was cheated by Dev and the entire clan of Pandya, but Shiva is her easy punching bag.
Had she said she hates Shiva’s anger, I would have clapped for her, but everyone deserves love and respect from their spouses. If she expects care and respect, she should give that too. It has to be a mutual way.
Coming back to love. Some people don't want to compromise, and they shouldn't be forced to.
Raavi has suffered a lot, I agree, but Shiva has suffered too!
Both are in a miserable marriage, and hence, I always believe that marriage is not the only connection between them. If it was, compromising would have been the easiest thing to do!
