I have heard that when audience were bashing Pallavi and were not liking her in the show in some track Sikchand posted on instagram that they are taking in all the feedbacks, later they changed the track.
The producer of Mehndi is quite a sweet, sincere guy. I remember when his serial kahaan hum kahaan tum was shut down he wrote such an emotional message on having to compromise for commercial reasons. I think channel interfered a lot and the serial got completely messed up.
What he says is true that trends don't make a difference to the show. It's only the numbers.
Look at the attitude of our team... it's the same. They just ignore trends. Thing is if by acknowledging trends you make fans happy why not? They are after all in mass media.
That day @msin was saying with certainty that ultimately it is the channel that controls the content.
If that is true, makers, writers don't really have full control of the script. If channel wants drama, abuse ......I guess that's what they will write. This must be especially true for StarPlus.
Good lesson to avoid StarPlus shows.... especially high-trp grossing ones

Channel only gets into all this when TRP is low...Channel wont interfere till they get the TRPs...IF the tracks are good for the show or bad...Channel will interfere and scrap even good tracks for TRP... There was a creative difference between Shuarya Anokhi makers and the channel...Channel wanted something else..Channel got them the marriage too early in the show...The marriage was not planned so early...So channel only interferes when TRP is low... Warna jo karna hai karo..
True. So in Ghum if the exact copy paste is working, channel doesn'tvwant them to change. I think for Imlie, they moved away from the original and they are floundering. I don't know how it works.
But I still don't understand, why is Star not promoting Ghum? Anupama gets promoted every day. It's an academic question, don't really care. There's nothing worth promoting at this point😆

But didn't Vankar say that the script is approved by the channel and only then they start shooting....what if some tracks from the original are asked to be included because the channel thinks it will get TRP...

Even I'm not sure exactly how this works....but for all we know, it might be the channel's demand to copy-paste.
I think the producer was honest when he was talking about creativity and quality.One of the all-time successful show in StarPlus was diya aur baati hum - totally crap content. Have no idea why it was number 1 for nearly 4 years I think. There were much much better shows in Sony which never got TRP.

Yeah but the usually dont make changes in day to day scripts till they get TRPs.. So in a way its like a go ahead.. I guess some scenes are cut, like in manhandling scene yesterday..Sai holds her hand in pain, that was cut...Then again there was Pakhi sitting on Virat's lap, that was cut...So yeah I guess scenes are removed...but the wont scrap the content if that gives them TRP...
