I've filed a complaint against the show with the Indian Broadcasting Foundation for glorifying mental torture and verbal abuse in the name of family and elders. While it was subtly depicted in most episode but yesterday's episode crossed all limits.
Have personally decided to stop watching this show and only read up on updates here once in a while as it is really annoying to see the behaviour of this filthy fam.
I think according to law a lady can stay in her in law's place even after divorce if she has no place to go
